what also works well for early lvls is pick cataclysm and pick random classic dungeon que most of those have quests at the start of the dungeon and turning those in plus the random classic completion big chunks of exp =)

Hey Mike, WoD is not the fastest leveling route anymore. KZbin Kraken Latte has done extensive leveling speed testing and the fastest route (for horde) is something like Silverpine>Hillsbrad>Val'sharah>BFA intro>Garrison Setup>Highmoutain

Can't believe we're in the Halloween period and you haven't mentionned the Broom ... The broom you loot on the event boss is a mount that is exactly like other mounts, EXCEPT that there is litteraly no cast time to it. So all those 1.5sec of casting you mount would be gone, saving you quite a few minutes in the end. Because you know, sometimes you're also like "this mob isn't that far from where I am, I'll just walk there" Nope, just Broom to it. I'm sure in the end it can save you half an hour.

I used Harldan's route to 50 today, extremely nostalgic and efficient. (1-12) Exile's Reach > Dalaran Hearth > Cataclysm Chromie (12-40+) Silverpine > Hillsbrad (40-50) WoD Intro > Gorgrond or Classic Dungeons to 50 (They have easy quests.) (50-60) Can't wait to see, likely Spires of Arak, Talador/Frostfire/Bastion. Also take advantage of broom, candy buckets at inns during the Hallow's event.

Pro tip for 50-60: mining + herbalism + flying mount + rested xp + heirlom sett + Bastion starting area = 3000xp/ node aka 20min / per level (700k+ XP/hour)

You didn’t mention PvP, I got to 30 in about 6-7 hours of gameplay but just queuing for BGs and doing all of troll starter, razorhill, and early XR. Queuing BGs the whole time, I was getting nearly a level per BG when I won and around 75% if I was actively in the fights getting honor kills or capping flags. It’s also a great way to really learn the class, blitzing through questing you end up getting into the habit of pressing the same 3-6 kill fast buttons but in BG you’re using more of your kit to stay alive, healing, using walls, and other utility skills.

this is so underrated. a LOT of pvp fans don't know that these days you can simply queue for pvp and level up that way too. its pretty effective, FUN and over all the most important thing that you just mentioned, you LEARN how to actually play your class the correct way! Again, very underrated way of leveling. If you don't like pvp I understand, but if you do like pvp you should try leveling that way. you will be a god with your class at 60 and this game is all about learning your class.

How do you even get in low level BG? I tried multiple times with a level 10 alt, but after 2 h waiting each time with nothing, I stopped. (Tried around noon, afternoon and evening, same result everytime, no BG invitation poping).

My love to Draenor, but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that doing all quests in exile's reach + tirisgard sound (1st zone BfA) got me from 1-46 (activating WM directly at lvl 20 when I was able), over the course of a day. BfA also has faster dgn queues than Draenor.

My alt leveling process might be a little weird and not the best for the 50% exp buff but its basically: - Start dreanor - Do the intro and everything until you get your garison started - Build the Tavern building that allows you to recruit followers - Use hearthstone to go back to capital - Switch timelines to MoP - Do the intro quests until you are sent to the Rising Dawn village - Fly to Valley of four winds and start doing the Halfhill quests - Eventually you unlock Halfhill dailies, do those, then go to the tavern there and set your hearthstone to Halfhill From there on out you can GH to the garrison, complete missions and recruit followers and then hearth to Halfhill, do the dailies and then park in the tavern. Some of the Garrison missions can you player EXP, if you recruit followers with the GR scavenger trait they also double the GR that you get (which stacks) and GR can be used to buy mats at the trader. Meanwhile in MoP, most of the Halfhill dailies are very concentrated and easy to do, as you get more rep you get more quests with the farmers and you also get a personal farm that you can start getting MoP mats from (MoP mats being important here couse they are some of the best selling old expac mats). Its very passive but pretty effective.

Awesome! After you get flight, it might be interesting to unlock Legion Dalaran so you can check for Legion invasions once a day. They can grant you a lot of XP per quest completed.

Best way is to rely on rested xp, level many alts at the same time. I lvld all allied races over time with rested...normal questing to 30, then last levels epl, wpl kill rares/herb to no more rested xp, also legion aszuna is good mine/herb xp farm...rested xp is huge when gather or klling rares which always are up in say epl wpl

Ok, so maybe I am just a little confused by what you said at 1:20 (that you *had* to lvl 50-60 in SL - before Chromie time)... b/c I have been leveling a character from 50-60 in Battle for Azeroth. I stopped playing before SL dropped, but now I have returned. I still haven't unlocked all of the Allied races yet, so that is what I have been doing on one of my alts. She was at 48 when I started for the Zandalar Trolls, and I am nearing the completion of getting them... and my alt is now lvl 56 (and she has earned near 7K gold from those quests as well). I haven't even touched SL yet... I mean, I will... just to get some of the easy cool mounts there, but just figured I'd do that later after all the grief I'd heard about that expansion. I guess Chromie time will allow us the same type of exp for leveling an alt no matter where you want to level them? I did originally have another alt I tried to lvl in WotLK, but the exp was really low. So I took that alt to BfA again and leveled it super fast. I hope Chromie Time will allow the same exp (and gold) I've been getting from BfA, b/c I didn't want to have to lvl ALL my alts in one expansion... that would get pretty boring.

What I personally *HATE* is people recommending Azeroth Auto-Pilot as a tool to new players, like incentivising them to fly through the game without reading anything, which creates players who aren't even able to remember the name of the Horde's capital-city, where they went, what they did, which NPC they met, what events they took part in. Blizzard is already doing a sh!t job when it comes to making a story new players can connect with, but AAP is making things worse.

It's also worth checking which areas you haven't unlocked the achievements for, and levelling in those if you're an achievement hunter. I find this a great incentive to complete some of those zones that might have slipped by since Cataclysm revamped them, especially for vanilla players... Northner and Southern Barrens, Darkshire - also for the fun of it. I followed every single quest, reading everything without fail in Westfall, and it's one of my favourite contained WoW experiences. So many brilliantly written quests!

on 40 you have flying, go to cata and blast baby zones with flying til 50, its a breeze. Westfall, elwyn, silverpine, redridge etc etc (mobs flop and you get tons of quests back and forth at 310% speed in small tight zones)

if youre a healer or a tank and dont mind dungeons i highly recommend a full heirloom set and grinding them lol. super fast lvling, even on my dps id que and get in lik 3-5mins later while questing.

The quests stop giving full xp after 50. With Chromie time in a few weeks to level 60, you can level wherever you want at full speed.

If you wanna get started before the 15 of november, leveling in shadowlands right now with the 50% buff is actually quite fast. Just skip the maw intro, pick threads of fate, fly to every zone and pick up the BIG zone quest thingy. Complete some objectives and quests until you have high enough Itemlevel to queue for dungeons, and then go ham! each dungeon gives around 50-75% of a level, and they are very fast. If you have a highly geared friend, they are even faster. The only slow part seems to me to get the Ilevel to use group finder :)

something that people gloss over a bit is doing dungeons at least once in expansions like legion, cats and bc. they offer these one time quests that have massive XP and gear. So if I'm DPS i just queue while I do the quest lines. if you are a tank or healer you almost don't even have to quest outdoors.

I take all my alts to Legion for the dalaran hearthstone. Then I like to quest far enough thru their class hall to get follower quests. Then I run the xp quests whenever they are up and thanks to the app I don't even have to be in game to do them.

Great info on the video and I cannot stress the importance of war mode on. Even if you never encounter a fight, the threat of it happening just makes the gameplay a touch more exciting imo.

Appreciate your POV. But couldn't disagree more. I really dislike PvP. I'm no where near good enough to compete against players who react. Too old to "get gud". PvP is an exercise in frustration. But if you like it, then I suppose that 10% is worth it. :)

If I have a character that is lvl 50 and already started Shadowlands -> skiped intro -> took threads of fate, can i leave that char on hold and activate chromie time for something like legion to level to 60 when that system gets updated? if anyone knows that please tell me :D

NPC scan works a lot worse than RareScanner or whatever it was called so I'd use that instead. I used to use NPCscan but it was unreliable so I switched and haven't looked back..

I had to remove Azeroth AP because it was auto accepting every quest and didn't give me the chance to read anything so I would get super lost. Is that something you can change in settings? I am pretty new to adds in general.
