I'm seeing 350 on everything now, they 1 of 2 things, meant to put it at 500 but it wasn't selling, or they miss priced it and it was supposed to be 350 from the start but it got messed up somehow. 500 is way to much for this, it only seems to be better than the Megaboom 3 at 350.

Just read that UE recently pushed a new firmware update out for the Epicboom. Apparently the distortion issues have now been resolved and overall bass output has increased. It apparently also now retains more bass at higher volume levels. Definitely interested in checking this one out now that these issues have apparently been resolved.

I bought an epicboom and it doesn't sound terrible like this video makes it out to be. It had the firmware update. I love it for its size/weight, can move it around rooms easily.

At first I thought the Epic Boom has some decent deep bass when at 75% volume, but at 100% it pops, but after hearing the JBL Boombox 3, the bass is clean deep and loud at 100% and it's perfect!

Floss in all bass drivers they recommend a wear in time of approx 18 hours before they test there correct specs. Now i agree the speaker is over priced, but to truly test the correct bass sound on a powerful speaker it should probably run 2 battery cycles. I recommend letting it run in and try it again just to see if there is a big difference.

You should consider doing a review of the ORANGE BOX-L. I watched a review on KZbin, & it sounded great using my JBL CHARGE 5. It's literally the best 50 watt bluetooth speaker that you'll ever listen to.

I had on decent earbuds and I could definitely hear the difference between 60% volume and max volume, and it was absolutely clipping with your EQ settings and in outdoor mode. I could hear it clear as day. The definition of clipping is over 10% total harmonic distortion in your music. Simply put, the "Epic Boom" doesn't live up to its name and its underpowered if its clipping at 75% volume regardless of EQ settings. Gotta protect your equipment and limit clipping with consumer electronics. People dont generally want to have max volume be 70% of max.

For that price, even at the reduced $350, you're better off getting the B&O Beolit 20. I've had mine a little over a year and love the sound quality. Do yourself a favor and wait for it to go on sale. I see it regularly drop to $400 and sometimes lower.

I bought a Hyperboom and was really happy with it, so when they sent me an early buy discount for the EPIC I jumped on it. I have to agree- VERY disappointed with the EPIC. To the point where I was considering another Hyperboom to pair with my other one and after being so disappointed with the EPIC I have soured on the brand considerably.
