I ate camel meat in Egypt and here's why... 🇪🇬 - I'll talk about my journey to Egypt and my experience eating camel meat. I understand that this would seem like an unusual food decision to some of you, but I wanted to get a true taste of the local way of life. Camel meat has long been a staple of Egyptian cuisine and is regarded as a delicacy there. I so made the decision to test it, and I was pleasantly pleased by how tasty it was!

I think it's hilarious how Google translate translates pigeon as toilet. When you said you were eating hamam soup, I laughed! I could never eat pigeon as pigeons are my favourite animal and I look after injured pigeons. I just couldn't! And there really isn't much meat, you're right. Pigeons are skinny little guys. I'm in agreement with Moshe: I'll stick with the vegetarian food... Happy travels 🙂

Didn't Moses eat locusts? I wouldn't eat locusts though! It's disputed anyway, but it's definitely not something I would consider eating unless I was starving. Same goes for camel. I think I would throw it back up 😂

Seeing as camels are useful animals like horses I don't know why anyone would have eaten them, though people eat cows nowadays where they have combine harvesters, but they would probably not have been eaten when/where they were more useful?
