Nice-looking system. I can't wait to get my black edition. And Moon Patrol is so addicting. I play it on my iiRcade for hours. Looking forward to playing it on the EXP. I would love to see a 3rd party come out with some protective sleeve like the one I bought for my Steam Deck: better grip, built-in stand. Great video, Pete. Thanks!

Turn on EXP when you slide the Namco cartridge slowly, you hear the Exp do that click sound like the cartridge has connected , you find that the cartridge has not gone in all the way and it is easier to get out .👍hope that helps.

It took me 10 minute tops with an Xacto Knife just shaving a little material off the cartridge slot to fix the tight cartridge problem. Do not cut material away just shave it with the edge of the blade using equal strokes on each side. I understand we shouldn't have to do this and some people won't be comfortable doing this but it sure has improved my overall experience with the EXP. I had to do the same thing with my original Evercade when it was new also. If you don't hack away at it you will not do any cosmetic damage to your systems.

Happy that's arrived for you Pete. Looking forward to the reviews. Some other reviews have mentioned light seepage from the bottom of the unit in low light settings. Wondering if that has that been the same for you?

Mine getting stolen really really sucks. I’m turning my attention to my Xbox series X & S for the holidays since my evercade stuff will not be here. Sonic frontiers and the TMNT collection plus maybe call of duty and perfect dark. I bet we are looking at 4 to 6 months before my EXP is here.

Wait..... The NAMCO cartridges work on the EXP?!?!? I thought Blaze had not acquired the rights from NAMCO to play their cartridges elsewhere than the original Evercade handheld?

it is a handheld license :) so it covers all their handhelds

I wonder if a bit of WD40 would help with the tight slot eventually the wear from cartridge insertion should make it easier. Crazy they did not pick up on this in QC. My black exp was nicked in the robbery so not going to experience the device until sometime next year 😞

You may want to take a look to easy solution from the fellow youtuber crazy burger, regarding the carts CO220 batch, how to insert on exp.

inserting is not the problem , removing them is and trust me people are having trouble getting them out

@@EverCanadian sure, the crazy burger video is for everyone even for anyone who had their evercade first time in hands. It pretty simple you just push with the console on until you hear the click clack sound that informs you the cart is now read by unit. This gives you room to push out when you remove. The only thing is that you can see the cart poped out a bit.

I mentioned how it stuck downloading at 30MB and warned me the battery must be at 50% charge to update firmware... other than that flawless
