We signed up on the first day and are around 10k on the list. We probably won’t pull the trigger since our Ford Ecoboost (hybrid) checks all the boxes including the RV plug in the bed delivering 7.2KW to our Airstream. It doesn’t even break a sweat running both air conditioners and the truck automatically starts up and idles occasionally to keep the traction battery charged. I’d love to transfer our position in line to someone but it’s against the rules and you aren’t even allowed to sell the truck in the first year.

I am so jealous that you got to see one in person before I did! Cool video, and of course there is a lot of new info out there. It actually could work for you guys since you seem to rarely travel much over 300 miles or so in a day. And your salesperson had a lot of good info- hopefully you can ride inside one soon! As a daily driver it will be a great truck, as a long distance tow vehicle it is still a work in progress, mostly because of the limited range and lack of pull through DC Fast Chargers or Superchargers. The tech is catching up pretty fast, but the price needs to come down soon!

One thing that should be considered is the cost to fix it if it is involved in an accident. No one knows how much a body panel will cost because ot the material it is made of.

Pricing ranges from $60k to $100k for the fully loaded version. As far as wait time, unless you're already on the waitlist it's going to be a few years. They have a huge backorder list - close to 2 million!

It was nice to see the vehicle but as most of your videos are, your child seems to steal the show. My wife and I raised two beautiful children in the 80s and now we have six grandchildren. Yes i am from a different generation, but it still seems annoying to try to listen and learn but constantly being interrupted by a child.

Apparently, 11,000 lbs. with a 2,500 payload - that being said the BIG question is going to be range while in tow. The Beast ($100k) has the largest battery capacity, so we’ll see how it delivers in the real world once it hits the market.

Pull a camper you get 100 mile range and 1 hour charge time. For perspective 10 hours to go 300 miles instead of 5. We all want to average 30mph instead of 60.

I own a Tesla for four years now, and like the car but regardless of that I placed a reservation for the truck within the first hour when it was introduced over four years ago. However, I don’t think I will buy it because the infrastructure is not there to pull a rig without having to unhook plus pulling reduces your range greatly, thus increasing the times you have to stop to recharge. Not practical, at least not yet. Plus that frunk sucks. It is more of a show off truck than anything else at the moment.

You're not wrong! We agree on the infrastructure being there for RVers. Things are changing, so we're keeping our fingers crossed. We'd be at the bottom of the waitlist, so even if we ordered one now, it would take a few years to get anyways - versus you, who could get one sooner. :) I wish we could take your place. It would definitely be fun to battle test it. You know we know how to break things! 🤣

Excellent question. We're wondering as well. The true answer is that they don't exactly know yet. We know the Beast version of this will have the expanded battery pack and more power, but there's no word yet until the final product hits the market. We have a friend that just ordered this specific version and has an RV. We'll have to keep everyone posted.

This will be a bust as they are saying you get a hundred & some miles on first charge , then it takes almost 2 hours to recharge , then you get less miles with every charge . One producer for tv show drove from NY to DC , trip that should take four hours took 12 hours and 8 charges

Most of your information is flat out wrong (I have 2 Tesla’s and a diesel F350) and is actually misinformation that is routinely put out by the gas and oil lobby.
