Love how you can break things down to the very very basics, for the very very beginner, and yet not make me feel stupid for needing it broken down that much! Thank you!

Gabe, just want to say that I appreciate your approach on these videos. Your enthusiasm and humility are refreshing compared to some sites where the teacher simply wants to show off. Once you have this fill on autopilot the variations around the kit offer even more possibilities...try a medium tempo funk groove and playing the fill on just the snare drum using rim shots for accents... very cool

Can you learn to read drum notation? I think that will help a lot, as actually understanding what you're doing is better than just trying to emulate what you see (which 90% of the time is wrong, but kinda sound like, not really)

Also, a friendly suggestion--maybe when you're showing us the beat itself at varying tempos you could count in? I want to follow along but have to wait until the second time you do it because there's no four count before you start the fill. This is poorly worded, so the times I'm referring to are 2:37, 4:34, and 5:40...obviously not including the other tempos, but yeah. Either way, great lesson, and thanks for sharing!

Pablo Arango If you can't get your foot to play only 2 16th. notes at this tempo, i'd suggest to simply workout your ancle. Simply keeping you toes on the ground and 'jumping' with your legs while sitting is a really effective way to do this.
