Thank you for this and your other tutorials for a 3 month old FM3 newbie, this is one of the things I struggle with. Killer sounds, playing and tones.

Wow that‘s really cool what you can do with only three footswitches, …but it also makes me kinda glad I have a lot more of them on my QC and only ever have to hit one button to get to whatever I need. Still, being able to assign them to anything you like seems really cool.

Whilst I'm definitely a Fractal guy first and foremost, I do think the QC is the perfect form factor. That said I've been reaaaally frustrated by not being able to assign the switches like the FM3, so much potential with that thing. Hoping for some more flexibility in future updates as it the size to power ratio is great! Thanks for watching :)

@@DavidBeebee I fully agree. The size to power or capability ratio on the QC is by far the best, but it could really use some flexibility updates like the smarter Fractal footswitches. Although I've seen some workarounds with bridging the midi ports and sending messages on scene activation out and directly receiving them back to change almost anything else. Still that's not the prettiest solution.

Thanks for this video. It has got me rethinking about the fm9. Would love any advice to know which to get better for my purposes. Playing at a sizeable church that fits maybe 200 people. Possibly more. So hopefully that can kinda give an idea of the layout. Would the fm3 work fine as long as I go stereo or would the fm9 be better benefitted? I like the idea of having two amp blocks but isn’t totally necessary. Just want to make sure if I get the fm3 I don’t want to have buyers remorse for the fm9. Thank you

You're welcome, thanks for watching. I think you hit the nail on the head at the end of your comment. Work out if you will regret not having dual amps, thats the biggest difference really. You can get around the cpu and footswitches, but if you want dual amps, you have to go fm9. Cheers

Is there any silence gap when switching between presets?
@DavidBeebee2 ай бұрын
Fractal introducing 'gapless' switching in firmware 8 of the FM3. And whilst it is now really, really quick, there's still a tiny gap. I did a video on this a few months ago if you scroll back. Thanks for watching!
