Your Brass is from a 152mm Projectile. 152 is the Warsaw Pact/Soviet equivalent of our 155mm NATO Projos. The other is from a 40mm Bofors cannon on an AC-130 Gunship. Nice shop!

Well thought out and evolved shop! And a useful tour for me, as my space is roughly the same size. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration for my next remodel! (I just scored a 25" double drum sander and an 8" long bed jointer on craigslist and need to reconfig!)

Weird glue up…looks cool. Mount it on a thick gauge metal rod, put it on a cement footer, and to me it has potential to be an awesome mid-century modern lawn sculpture. Plus your wife would love that, win win. 😬😅 You’ve got creative chops, one of the reasons i like your channel, go for it. A drawing professor of mine in college always had his weird sculpture on his lawn, used a lot of found material. His house and lawn were awesome, full of interesting art.

Shou Sugi Ban on the mystery piece of wood. Drill holes from the backside before burning, to fit LEDs later. Use a router to hollow it out from the the backside to fit electronics. Rughly shape before burning to get the fire to create an appealing shape. Hose it down when it's burned enough and use a wire brush to remove the burnt wood. Fit LED holders through the holes and pour clear resin over the whole thing. Seriously think that would look cool on the wall.
