Would be nice to have a comparison of print speeds. Same size print at same dpi. For example. For the rotary how long to print a 250 ml can. And an idea of costs to print 100 copies. Thanks

What should I use to print on large (max 4' x 8' surface) steel and aluminum surfaces?

You can use a larger UV Printer or you can use a roll to roll printer to print to adhesive vinyl and stick it to the steel and aluminum surfaces. Check out the video I recently put up about the best entry level u. Flatbed printer or save. Bunch of money and buy a roll to roll printer from Mimaki or Roland.

I think the Mimaki with the LUS-120+, LUS-150+, LUS-170#+, LUS-175+, LUS-200+ flexible ink would give you the best results. I would absolutely ask for a sample or provide Mimaki or a dealer with the material you want to print on for a sample to ensure the flexibility

All of them are capable but in my opinion it would be the Roland MO240 for photos. The red and orange ink will give you the widest color gamut, good balance of cost and features and it comes with a 2 year warranty.

I have a business where I have a supplier who creates printed playmats 24x14" (same as mousepads) but I want to bring production inhouse. What printer would you recommend? It would be for 60 playmats a day on average all different designs. Do you offer consultations as well?

You should be able to print on both I would suggest the Mimaki Flexible Inks: LUS-120+, LUS-150+, LUS-170#+, LUS-175+, LUS-200*# or the Thermoforming Ink: LUS-350flexible ink set. I would strongly suggest sending your samples to a dealer or manufacture to print on your exact item for a definite answer.
