Im building a mx500 myself and i Happened to come across this kit quick question i was wondering if it comes with the brakes attached or do you have to attach the brakes to the forks yourself? If not is it easy to attach them and set it up?

@@VoltronWatts - Yeah it raises the front end to match the rear if you have a longer shock like I do.... Plus it's barely a $40 - $50 upgrade so it saves a few bucks, which is going towards a lithium battery. 😉😁

Smooth shank shoulder bolts are designed for high tensile applications where clamping force is critical. This application does not require any clamping force as it would be side loading two radial ball bearings. Instead this application only requires a holder basically which is why the stock app and ours both utilize a nyloc nut. If your concern is shear force. The bolt will withstand a lot more shear force than the fork kit itself. This has been observed in the fork kits we have disassembled after high impacts. The 10mm is not the weak point.
