I love cupcakes. I used to bake them all the time. One day, I was planning to bake cupcakes for Daddy's birthday. Then, who comes along but Hidekun Hah. Jerk. He said that baking and decorating pastries is a men only activity that women are never allowed to do. I told everyone in my family about him and they all hate him. If I am gonna bake and/or decorate pastries, I will have to disguise myself as a boy and call myself George. Everybody in my church and my aunt's church are all miserable now. My mother says that it's because of the Presbytery, but I even know that's not true. It's because they all miss my cupcakes. One time, I suggested that my family and I should all gang up on Hidekun Hah.

Hi lynz. I use one of your cupcake recipes. It’s the best I’ve found. 200g butter, flour, sugar, 2 table spoons of milk and 1 table spoon of vanilla and 2 eggs. I don’t really want to try any one else. But I’ve lots of cupcakes to bake next week. Can I double this up with the same outcome? Please respond. Or do you have a larger recipe that I could use please.

Hi Caroline, I'm so glad you liked the recipe. Yes definitely, if I need to make more than one batch of cupcakes I just double up or multiply the recipe by however many I need. The outcome will be exactly the same. Good luck with all your cupcakes next week.

HI Lynz, this video is fab! Please could you do a basics of working with fondant video, like how to get balls of fondant with no cracks, how to place fondant you've cut out on your cake without it stretching out of shape, how to get straight clean cut lines on your cake, how to get rid of white marks caused by cornflour when rolling it/cutting it out, that sort of thing? Thanks for all the videos, your cakes are amazing!!

The rosette swirls are so cool! I want to try it sometime. ( The rosette swirls I've tried the other one HEAPS of time's.) I wonder how my cupcakes will look like once I make them. I have a pretty basic cupcake vanilla recipe, and I know how to make strawberry icing. ( Not that it has to be specifically strawberry icing ) but other colours of icing would be cool as well!
