The more I learn about these books the more I am in awe of them. They are just incredible and I need to read them again ASAP. When I finish the series I was in shock. It was a pretty insane read for me and what I did was turn around and reread the second half of the third book again! For me, this series scratched such a niche itch for myself but I didn't know existed. I studied mathematics in college, taking an additional 30 credits of physics and astronomy. It was a pretty intense program and stretched the limits of my mind. I don't use mathematics or physics in my career so it's this interest that my brain has that I've never gotten to explore beyond school. It holds a special place in my mind, always. This series had so much real mathematics and science background that it almost read as nonfiction. I loved it so so much 🥹 It's in my top two favorite series, Three Body, and Dune

This series drives home one terrible truth for me, violence begets violence. The Trisolarans wanted to escape the torture of their home, no matter the cost. Humans wanted to survive, no matter the cost. Ultimately, there were no winners in this war, only a collapse of the 3rd dimension to possibly swing back to the 10th. Insane to imagine, but I loved hearing every moment. Thank you.

@psyxhstr31055 ай бұрын
@AB-ee5tb he most definitely could and he most def should. Though they are 2 completely different types of series they have ALOT of similarities. Naruto also explores the Scifi, extra dimensional and cosmic scope of its universe. and it's most recent idderation (Boruto) is about what happens when you fw cosmic entities and concepts, voluntarily or not. the Ootsutsuki are the biggest example of this and even more so Naruto in it's essence is based off of Buddist and Shinto mythology which is way more complicated than any concept into 3BP.. Don't sit here and decrepit someone's opinion bc he actually sees a viable similarity between the two.

Sci Fi / Horror are the 2 most listened to genres so you already fit right in. You also have double the subscribers of alot of very talented narrators on youtube so you know you already have an audience too. Hey Quinn, thanks for the video man shared it to all my friends. Listened to this before bed and for some reason had the best sleep I've had in a long time. Which is really strange because this was fairly horrifying and gave me many new things to ponder.

I absolutely Love Quinn's "GUIDES" to these thought-provoking books! His insight is deep, thoughtful, & genius. Hes extremely knowledgeable & diligent in his research of the story. And Quinn's thoughts & ideas sre clever, & introduce ideas i never contemplated. Not to mention, his choice of books is amazing; every work he discusses turns out to be a thought-provoking, memorable, & fun work of literature. Thanx, Quinn!

Quinn's "Guide to Dune" series was excellent. 👍 I was not expecting this one. Then when I saw Quinn's "Complete Guide to 3BP....", I was cheering on the inside, yay!! Prior, I was sad, bcuz he made many videos discussing 3BP, & I thought he was done mentioning it. So I was completely surprised and elated to see this on my screen. And, to further my excitement, I noticed, it's the"COMPLETE" Guide. And, over 4hr 's long! I was expecting maybe, just the 1st book, & then id have to disappointingly endure a long next few months, awaiting the Dark Forest; but, no! 😀

Just want to say how incredibly grateful I am for your content. Not only has rekindled my love of reading, but has also just gotten me through some difficult times. Also solidified my favorite genre as Sci-Fi, especially after reading this particular series. Amazingly consistent, very thoughtful, well articulated, and most importantly truly entertaining videos. Thank you, Quinn.

the concept of the droplet/teardrop stoke completely new perspectives into the brains of cunsumers like me who enjoy a lot of popular *normal sci-fi works such as Star War and Gundam, in which human build gigantic space battleships/robots because this is how normal present time people would imagine technological advancements could be in future. instead, Liu Cixin shows us what and how real technology advancements would look like, the manipulation of laws of physics, rather than mass accumulation of materials based on current human technologies and obsession with structural scale. in comparison to the droplet/teardrop, space battleships/robots indeed feel *ancient

This is SO good , I don’t even read science fiction (I’m a fantasy person ) but I love this , I know I would not be able to understand the nuances of this book in general so it’s nice for you to explain it .

The series has so many logical fallacies. It's upsetting :( "We can't missile the ship because we could accidentally destroy it!"

Such a great video. Loved listening to your thoughts on my favorite trilogy of all time. With that said, I’m curious if you have any suggestions for series that may fill the void that this trilogy has left within me. Would love any suggestions of series that go into lots of speculation around first contact and beyond, especially if it spans billions of years like this one. I’ve tried several books since and none seem to be as fulfilling as Cixin Liu’s amazing series.

It’s a great series. Aside from stuff Quinn already recommends like the Hyperion Chronicles and Blind Sight (both pretty good), I’d personally recommend Aniara and I Have No a Mouth But I Must Scream for cool bleak future stories, a poem and short story (respectively), though yer probably better off watching the Aniara movie imo. Most distant future sci-fi I’ve found sucks, which pisses me off, sry I can’t give better recommendations towards your request
