Not sure why people want to claim Lightning Strike is bad. There is a ginormous difference between "is bad" or "is not as good". Damage numbers should be taken cautiously, to make a simple example: A weapon deals infinite damage once in the entire run. It will have the highest damage and dps, but killed 1 enemy. And before you say that's a stupid example, that's more or less what happened with Pentagram and people believed it's OP. i.imgur.com/y98IhrJ.png Here is a Lightning Strike only run - I don't think I need to point out how much worse it is to pick just 1 ability compared to 3, yet it hit level 97, just 3 levels shy of 100 and if optimized (I kept all items I had here to not change the run) could easily hit 100. And just before someone comes at me and says "But Kugelblitz is better!!!1", I chose these 3 weapons for a reason, not because I'd think they are bad - so yes, the weapon is in there because it's top.

Using only dps is not a good way to know a weapon good or bad . In most game , if you did 6k dmg to a 300 hp enemy its only counted at deal 300 dmg . Lightning Strike is more of a single target weapon , it mean to deal with small amount of strong enemies and bosses . So in a horde survival game ofc it cant out dps aoe weapons . Not to mention Lightning Strike has cc as well . Before it could stun lock stage 1 boss and prevent the boss from firing the death countdown projectile . Not sure if it still is the case now

In the context of AOE kills like this, I'd say Lightning Strike is poor. The steam board swears by it, but it just seemed to me like it was just sniping things which may or may not get cleaned up by Ring Blades a lot. The explosions are pretty small but the worst thing for me is that it has a dead upgrade. I never want to level it to 6+ because it might block me from finding a good upgrade like Ring Blades or Kugelblitz or Arcane Slivers, and even at lv3 it's a 50/50 gamble. It's a trade-off I just don't want to make when I have 9 other Abilities+Upgrades I'd rather find for AOE kills like this. At least the next patch and today's beta will add some rerolls for us, which makes that drawback to Lightning Strike a lot less of an issue.

Its bad when you have low coverage, low attack speed, low damage. overall low coverage and provides nothing what another skill can do... what this weapon can do is putting you in a bad spot sometimes because of the fact that this thing hits targets further away who possesses no imidate danger... fanboy talk doesn't make lightning strike more viable its just that... talking without saying anything of value.

Ok i have to ask .. am i doing something wrong or is this game really taking that long... i have played many times level 1 and 2 and most of the times i cant even complete a single quest... despite i make it many times to level end boss. how the fuck does this take so long ?? I unlocked first 2 characters so fast and now i'm stuck... no new characters at all .... i also have not gotten level 3 unlocked so i cant save the Cupbearer., that would make the game more fun with potions. I dont understand. Are the quests given randomly??? Because so far i have not gotten any quest that lets me unlock fun things in the game..

I will offer the clarification that Hunter's Garb is additive with other Damage% bonuses AND that mixtures of Damage% bonuses are additive as well. Sorceress does a nice round 100, which went to 140 with Garb, 190 with Dmg Blessing + Garb, and 240 with Dmg Blessing + Lightning Blessing + Garb. While it is 100% better for kills and exp farming than a chest piece with no offense contribution, I just wanted to be accurate with HOW good it is in case there's ever another decent offensive alternative that doesn't require you to stand still. Honestly, I'd never even looked it up before how the Blessings stack.

To my knowledge the developers have said that the "Blue" experience gems do not increase in experience value on Merge. So if the Blue Gems combine at 10 Standard Blue Gems, then the resulting value of the Merged Blue Gem would be the same as 10 separate Standard Blue Gems.

Ringblade is better than Lightning Stike. Perhaps even Kügelblitz too. Those spells do damage offscreen and will kill enemies far before they walk into your Lightning Strike range. I also feel that standing still does not kill as much enemies as running around does, because when you're standing still you're dependent on the movement speed of the enemies coming towards you (which is fairly slow), whereas if you're killing enemies instantly already, grabbing as much movement speed as you can allows you to walk into their spawn faster. Perhaps the stacking effect of XP when standing still makes it worth it, but I haven't seen any numbers on that.

How were you able to get the lightning achievement. It's the one where you have to get 20 stacks of electrify on one enemy. I've tried maxing all 3 lightning abilities but I can't seem to get it. It's my last quest.

Get the 2 weapons I have and increase electrify chance alongside any upgrade that gives attack speed/attack frequency, fight the first boss since he is alone

@@DexTag Good point, I was fighting lvl 2/3 bosses. I was hoping the electric balls spinning max speed/amount would do it. Didn't work. Edit: got it. Only equipped lightning strike and kugelblitz and it worked. Had to go in and exit a few times to get the RNG of those 2 weapons.

I did it on lvl 3 with sorc against the shield mob that don't die. Light strike, kugel, and orbs all can electrify. I took duration traits as well. Not sure if duration helps.

This reminds me of basically EVERY build-discussion in any mmo, independent of the "position" of the build. Like for example: especially support-builds in PvP (especially large-scale PvP). So yeah, Build 1 has like 3 times the healing and 3 times the condition-cleanse (removing negative effects like damage debuffs or taking damage over time) compared to build 2. But: once you start looking at "effective healing" and "effective cleansing" (so the numbers that ACTUALLY got performed, rather than what would theoretically be the possible maximum), you often realize that Build 1 (the so-called "3-times better" build) has 2/3 of it being over-heal/over-cleanse (aka, healing applied when the ally was full-life and didn´t need healing, or cleasing applied while there was no condition to be cleansed, or conditions that aren´t required to be cleansed). The same goes for Damage. There´s no point in hitting an enemy for a 1,5k damage hit, if the average HP the enemy has is ~800. you´re wasting half of your damage onto a single target, that would achieve more if it were spread multiple instead. People LOVE high numbers. That´s also why especially in "larger" games/genres (like Hack-n-Slash games like Diablo, MMO's in general), you will eventually end up with ridiculously high numbers. It´s just more satisfying to see a 1,5million-crit, compared to a 20-crit, even if in relation to the %-damage, both do exactly the same. The thing is (as i just said), they have to be put into context, like enemies hit, cast frequency, etc.

I love how the explanation for how to do this was "get Lightning ball and lightning strike, your autos and the other skills don't matter" and then ringblade and bow attack did 2x the damage of the lightning stuff. Lightning strike just blows

But lighting strike isn't there to deal the most damage but to be the most consistent kill partaker. It oneshots enemies at max screen range instantly while any other ability has to get there first. This leads to more spawns than with any other weapon in the first place.

At 18:10 when you got the magnet and didn't put the EXP necklace back on after just saying you often forget to put it back on when getting the exp, that was so frustrating to see xD I was like "nooooooo the necklace!!"

FYI I'm guessing the bonus exp takes effect when the single shard of exp turns in to a pile of exp.... I don't think I saw a single pile of exp while you were talking about bonus exp though. Oh, also the red border and gold thread border traits only have a single option path... so if you level all of them up first you clear them from the trait pool and can be more picky about the blue border traits and "weapon" traits. Doing this I have gotten up to 4 options for some of the weapon trait levels.

You don't have to stand still, if you just saturate exp in area it stacks you can kite in a circle to create a hord and if you kill em all in small enough space they will stack

If you have the slow upgrade for Transfixion that shoots backwards you can slow some of the ghosts until there is a gap for you to walk through.

if you have more than 80% exp and +50% amulet you get lvl 100 every time on 3 map

I don't think it's guaranteed, you still need to build for getting enough kills. Roughly 20k kills by the end. Some builds can be fun and ultra safe but slow at killing enemies and thus slow at allowing new enemies to spawn, thereby shorting you on exp. That's why Ring Blades is pretty much the best ability here, it gets a lot of screen coverage.

Abilities can evolve when you pick up a new scroll with 3 or 6+ upgrades into them. They have only 1 option until their 1.5 million damage achievement unlocks their 2nd option, then both are 50/50 to appear.

Outdated af. Since they nerfed the xp necklace it's almost impossible to reach lvl100 in normal (finishing agony above 100 doesn't count ffs). It requires a PERFECT run, which is barely impossible to do because of RNG. They really have to fix this before everyone leave the game with frustration

You can't make 26k kills with Shield Maiden. All you need is at least 15k kills and 140% bonus XP. That's it.

I play with it on as long as I don't see enough value in manually taking over, but I got really used to the manual toggling with the R key. When I need it I quickly switch over and manually kill enemies in the way, else I just let auto aim do it for me

And miss half of their hits, while lightning strike automatically hits and usually one shots smaller enemies, which is exactly how you get more experience to even boost your other abilities. Damage isn't everything, and it's truly very little when the goal is leveling not damage output

Shorts harm a channel more than they help. The issue is that it brings in the wrong audience you dont want to have, then they get longform content recommended but dont click on it, which is a bad signal for the algorithm and a wasted impression. But even worse, KZbin shows Shorts at the end of longform content. Since shorts earn nothing (like, they do, but its more than 100 times less than longform content), they have 0 value. The only thing they are really good at is inflating the subscriber amount AND using it to promote streaming.
