You should make another video on the other side of things “don’t over charge for a Grom”. Most Grom owners don’t know how devaluation works, your 2015 6k mile Grom ain’t work 3.2k even with mods.
@Photogromer
@Photogromer 3 жыл бұрын
Well this video is probably being watched by sellers too. If they don’t get their $3.2k maybe they will figure it out. I dunno it’s a tough pill for some people to swallow when going to sell. Best advise is part every mod out and return the grom to stock. You’ll maximize your return.

I WISH people around my area would watch this. All the used groms are priced at 3000-3500 and it’s because they dumped 1k into aftermarket parts. I’ve tried so hard to negotiate and I always get “I know what it’s worth.” So stupid!!

You must be in florida. Every single person is a con artist or scamer, sack of shit. Fb market place is asking for 2k for a bike with rust no tires missing half the engine and no wheels so that's like all the other ones on market place. Also if they have an actual bike that works they have like 80k- 100k miles. I want out of this shity state. God I can't wait. Hope this state falls in the ocean with everyone.

I have no qualms about buying a used grom but all of them for sale around me are asking way over the price of a new one so new one for me it is. Also the new ones have a 5th gear and few other changes anyway. Was gonna buy a new 2020 from a dealership but they wouldn't honor the 400 rebate listed on the honda website so the difference to a 22 is 200 bucks. Might as well get the new one for that little difference.

Used OG grom usually sold around RM5000 (Around $1200+) when it available to sale. Pretty rare. Used AF model start around $1.6k to $2.1K here in Malaysia. Yea, overprice used grom exist. Its better just a buy a new one. New 2019/2020 model price at $2.8k (including tax+insurance). Most people I know, import their grom directly from Thailand. Brand new cost only $2.2k.

Hello Photogromer, my name is Steve from Sydney, Australia. I really liked this video to give me some scope into how much groms are in the U.S. I have 2 groms 2017 blue & a 2016 yellow I bought my 1st grom from the dealership in Sydney, for $3750 AUD. ( roughly $2700 USD ) that was with tax and with a year of on road cost. Aka registration and insurance. There is definitely a bit of a price difference between our 2 countries. I just found that interesting. I can't wait to see the new 2021 Honda Grom colors. I've been looking around for them since you showed them in a older video of yours. Take care all the best All the way from Sydney Australia SHTOIVEN 😝

@Photogromer
@Photogromer 3 жыл бұрын
Depends on your market but I wouldn’t pay that much. What exhaust? How much is it new? Abs is a joke on a grom so I wouldn’t pay extra for it although msrp is higher for it so the seller might have more money into it because he bought a abs grom (his problem). Unless you’re brand new to riding and panic brake is a real possibility, the abs isn’t worth it on a glorified scooter. As I said in the video I wouldn’t pay more than 2500$ for a grom but I also have one already so if it’s my first grom maybe if you want it bad you’re willing to over pay instead of waiting to save a couple hundred bucks. I’d say under $2800 you’re over paying but could sleep at night. Again supply demand for your area.

being a “mechanic” and constantly working on my car and my moms car for her, one of the things i’m most excited about getting a bike is the easy of working on it, a single cylinder motor is gonna be a lot easier to work on then a big ass v6 or even v8, this is completely not the topic of the video but it was mentioned enough that i just had to say it

Everyone has a unique experience. I got a grom new, immediately upgraded it, & change the oil & filter overly often // its my commuter bike // I am that asshole going 55 on the freeway in the right lane // lol // 19 Grom SF / PCV-WB2 + CAI + Kitaco Clutch Cover & 3 row oil cooler // no stunting, though I have pegged it to 71 mph going downhill with a tailwind ducked // I really like 3rd gear all around & obviously 4th at freeway / highway speeds // I really like the small light feel of the bike / much more comfortable than our previous GSX-R600 & Honda CBR600F4 before that / we also have a 13 PCX purchased new. We plan to keep both a long time ^^ they are great fun to ride! Cheers & safe travels & Godspeed

I picked up a 2019 for $2800 with 144 miles on it. It’s brand new 😁. The guy was 300# fellow. Took my time and waited and looked etc etc. in the Facebook market it was found. Red SF brand new no scuff nothing. Only thing they done was add the rear fender delete and Olins shock. I was lucky because the ad was there for 7 hours when I hit him up. So I found a super unicorn. Parts ordered so far ...Z&Z 12 O Clock, Rear Sets, axel sliders,shorty levers, KLX110 bars, 14T front, 36T rear and non O-rings gold chain.

Great video. Just picked up a 2019 Grom back in June. Btw you did the math wrong when you did the breakdown for the dealer purchase. The rebate is already deducted from the $3,748.78. Your figure of $3,161 would reflect a $600 rebate. Cheers

I almost bought a Grom the second year they came out! I ended up getting a 2015 cmx250 Honda Rebel in rubidium red with only 457 miles / pristine condition and factory paint codes still onit ! $2,995. Could not pass it uP, I dig the Grom and maybe I'll get one now that the prices are leveling off and sweet deals can be found, just like my new Rebel!🤩

If you want to buy new from a dealer the best way is to email all the sales manager the best price you found anybody's paid out the door. I paid $3,550 out the door.. tax title all fees for a 2018 ABS in Inglewood California on 3/01/2019 A good rule of thumb is MSRP for a total out-the-door price including all fees, title..

Solid advice for buying any Used motorcycle! I'm seriously considering a Grom, have owned many bikes in the past... Can you direct me to sites discussing proper engine mods? I know there are numerous BBK kits... plus Intakes... Cams... oil coolers.. etc. I would immediately want to beef mine up, keeping reliability. Good vid, thanks.
@Photogromer
@Photogromer 7 ай бұрын
Best choice imo is doing a 250 or 300 swap. Once you start adding BBK and tuning you run the risk of reliability going out the window. There are a couple of Facebook groups for Honda Groms, Id join those and seek information on what type of performance upgrades you want to do. Good luck and thanks for the kind words.
