I'm a Kiriko main, and when I first started playing comp as support, my first ever official placement was silver 3 and since I've been stuck in the silver rank and sometimes even been in bronze. I believe I still need to improve in a lot of things with her.

One of the most overlooked "mechanics" of Kiri's Ult is the sheer amount of healing she and the other healer can dish out with it. I frequently find myself ulting just to heal my tank when they're dangerously low on health and I know we're running out of time. Also, another thing is the CDR. Characters like Moira, Zarya, Soldier, Junkrat, among others who have low CD abilities get INCREDIBLY strong as they can spam them and gain a lot of value out of a simple Rush. I frequently play with a friend who loves Kiri and I always play that kind of characters (I can launch like 5 Moira orbs or 7 Zarya bubbles and become a mini boss the enemy team needs to kill ASAP or they'll lose.)

10000%. Especially in JQ rush comps, using rush to just simply heal and keep your JQ alive is INSANELY powerful. Kiri’s ultimate is super good. Didn’t cover this too much in the guide as I wanted it to mostly be beginner friendly but you’re definitely right here!

Something i know with playing kiri is that suzu can be thrown early depending on the attack and cause moves like doom fist punch or rein charge to phase through you.

you say that you prefer use the scroll wheel instead of spamming shift. But you can just hold shift, it's easier imo. (was not possible when she came out)

Great guide!! Curious about your thoughts on DPI and sensitivity for Kiri! I have trouble not just heal botting because I get scared my team will die but I also struggle with aim sometimes and am currently playing around with sens.

Thanks! Personally I use 800 DPI and 5% in game sens for all my heroes. I have seen people up their Kiri sens a bit compared to their other heroes as you're flickinng between teammates and enemies and ofc, it makes it easier to 180 for the tracer tryna flank you. I am planning on doing an aim guide or more in depth playstyle analysis for Kiri soon!

I think my main problem with kiriko is the suzu's timing 😭 sometimes it feels like the invisibility effect has a slightly delay and im not sure how to exactly calculate it?

honestly I struggle sometimes with this too! The amount of times I'd throw Suzu only for it to explode after I die 😭 Best thing I can tell u is to remember it has the animation AND the travel time, even if you're throwing it directly downwards so always throw it slightly earlier than you think!

Okay. MAYBE im wrong in regards to kirikos swiftstep but does overwatch not have a universal hold buffer? I never spam. Just press and hold until it comes out ie hold buffer.

I think you are actually correct on this! Either way though, I find shift to be an awkward keybind for movement abilities. Similarly for tracer I tend to use right click for blink instead of shift!

Thanks!! Suzu is her E ability! The one where she throws a sphere looking object that explodes onto the ground! If you are in game as Kiriko, you can hold down F1 and it'll show you all the names of the abilities and a brief description too!

Thank you for this! Ive played mostly Kiri when playing support since the launch of overwatch 2. Most of the things you mentioned I already knew but there were a few new ones for me too, like the Kitsune cast time, or the fact that its easier to aim when not jumping (jumping is a bad habit I have which I need to get rid of eitherway). I dont know what it is but since season 9 I somehow hit less shots than before, it feels so weird even tho the hitboxes are much larger...

you're not the only one! The hitboxes haven't actually increased, her Kunai's projectile size has! So in saying this, some shots which you think SHOULD be headshots actually count as body shots. My suggestion to hitting more shots would simply be to aim just above their head, which feels HORRIBLE but I guarantee you you'll land more headshots!

@@TephriteYeah I noticed that today, I personally find zen super hard to headshot because his arms block the head pretty often which results in a bodyshot and with how crazy zens dps is you only have 3-4 chances to hit him before he sends you to the shadowrealm...

whenever i play Kiriko i have the lowest heal, whenever I play Moira I have insane amount of damage and heal

Moira has AOE healing along with her orb which is also AOE aswell as her ult which burst heals so it’s easy for her to heal more than Kiriko! As for damage, Moira doesn’t require aim and also has her orb/ ult which does AOE damage so it’s a lot easier and you’re more likely to get higher damage with her too!

unfortunately the most recent patch buffed the DPS passive so they now apply 20% healing reduction to their targets so a lot of the time, it feels like our healing does nothing. I do have a Kiri tip video on my channel that can help you a bit more though!
