Laying brick 54 years either W. ROSE or Marshalltown end of story. Rose comes in different lifts. Rose cones in different blade thickness regular or limber. Rose makes a ton of patterns all available in leather, wood, or rubbery handle.

W.Rose the best for me. They have been skimping on the leather in the handles though. I also had a stainless steel bon tool that I loved.

I thought they didnt make forged trowels in England, but you said the Regal and barnes,is forged

W. Rose by far the best

I’ve always wondered Why don’t footprint make trowels? 🤷♂️
@bricklayerstvbsc Жыл бұрын
The question has already been asked, as far as I’m aware no one in the UK has the forging capabilities produce a trowel 🤷♂️
@craigstyrin3453 Жыл бұрын
@@bricklayerstvbsc that’s mental isn’t it! Can forge chisels and bolsters etc but no trowels. Shame really I bet a lot of lads would jump on the tools produced in uk.
@brickbybric Жыл бұрын
@@craigstyrin3453I don’t think so . Watch most uk based KZbin bricklaying videos and you’ll see mostly marshalltown trowels being used usually Philadelphia pattern . The uk had a lot of home produced trowel brands and they are all gone mainly due to the switch to marshalltown . . whs / tyzack trowels as a brand are still around but they are no longer made in the uk.
@craigstyrin3453 Жыл бұрын
@@brickbybric yeah true tyzack trowels are cheap and nasty now, Marshalltown leather handle for me.👍🏻 Just don’t get why no one makes a nice trowel in the uk.🤣

Quality review 👍 and yes I agree with the lads , such a shame someone in uk doesn’t make a high quality trowel and equal Marshalltowns lift, I’m sure Bricky’s would pay a premium for that. A Marshalltown is cheap really for the work we put it through

Brick trowels,are a personal choice,based on size, feel, weight, one size dont fit all, just like golf clubs,

There made in Poland , handles are to fat , cut mine off put a rose handle on it, the blades not bad for cutting, there not as good as a rose in my opinion. But not to bad

I’m using a Kraft tools USA ( owners of w.rose ) 10 inch narrow London wood handle at the moment . Same shape as the regal and barnes ,Kokoro and the nela narrow Londons . It’s made in Europe as well .

Take a trowel and start cutting brick or tapping fown block and see what happens to the steel. Rose is the best Marshalltown second the rest are junk.

Measuring weights for different size blades 😆😆😆😆

Measuring thickness is stupid. Depends on the steel. Bon Chinese JUNK any pro doesn't want a cheap stuff trowel. Leather compared plastic handle GMAFB
