In this video, I share with you how to hire and manage laborers in Albion Online. Laborers are an important aspect of this game and many players dedicate some time to master them. With that being said, in this video, I share with some important part of managing all of you laborers.
Laborers in Albion Online fulfill a vital role. While the resources they provide may not seem plentiful compared to the setup costs, they more than pay for themselves in the long term. Everyone has different requirements and expectations from their laborers, from a few extra materials to refine or sell to a global business empire of mass production. The trick is to build correctly for your needs from the start and to always have your long-term goals clear.

You could have mentioned that you can fill up your journal with +2 tier resources. So if you have a tier 2 journal, you can fill up with tier 2-4 resources. Cheers!

BTW, for anyone new wandering about it (I know I thought of this as a potential risk....): the Laborers do not go out into the open world (RZ , BZ, etc.) , they just pop off to eather... They cannot be ganked or killed. They are not in the "physical world" so to say. You cannot stumble on someone's laborer in the world just whacking on an ore node and kill him a get his loot + journal :)

I think it got a little fuzzy around the happiness from generalist trophy’s and laborer specific trophies. Isn’t it better to do 3 of the same laborer in one house that way you don’t end up needing each tier of the laborer specific trophy for each laborer? Like 3 croppers only needs t2-t8 croppers trophy for all of them to gain the happiness.

Yes. It is better to have same labourers in one house. P.S. Don't forget the generalist trophies as well. So generalist (t2-t8)+cropper(t2-t8) = 14 trophies you can put into the house.

Hey quick question Alesh, at 11:15 you say the fame we get will go into the journal. Do you mean the player gets no fame while filling the journal or is does it count for both player and journal?

You are not analyzing the profit from the journals accurately. Yes, it does cost more for the full journals at the marketplace than the value of the mats returned. But that's not the only value that is contained in that filled journal. There is also the difference in price between a Level X version of that laborer vs. the price of it at the next level. You can level your level 5 laborer to level 6 in a level 5 house. That laborer will now be upset, because you can't meet the needs completely -- they want level 6 bed and table, and you can't put them down until the house is level 6. So pick the laborer up in the management section, and it'll become a 'Contract' for that laborer type. Go sell that Level 6 Contract laborer in the marketplace, and buy back a level 5...preferably a bid price ahead of time, rather than the buyout price. This will let you capitalize on the level advancements -- just sell them off when they hit level 6, and buy a level 5 or lower at the marketplace.

@@nemanjamaksimovic1456 Yes, they are worth it. And they are an excellent way to get resources. Laborers fail when they are not happy. And they need to have amenities available (bed, table, trophies, etc.) to build up their happiness. The level of the amenities needs to be of the appropriate levels as well. If you look at the laborer screen before you send one out on a 'mission', it will show you the probabilities of success based on current happiness factors, and give you the breakdown.

They are T2 in a T5 house with a T2 table and bad, 3 bads 1 table, I got trophies T2-3-4-5. 2/3 falied and gave me back empty journals. What can i do to give them more happines. I also heard they got really nerfed and so they are not worth it anymore..

I have 3m net worth in 2 days of playtime. Obviously we all work at different paces & have different playtime schedules BUT it is extremely possible to get the 9m within your first month of playing. If you can not afford 9m silver after a month of playing, you're probably not going to be able to effectively setup your labourers + island and get the passive income rolling without any hitches. I'd recommend joining a big guild like ARCH or farm black zone dungeons equivalent to your highest reaver level. I don't even play this game super efficiently, I just take food and poison into the t7 bz dungs and make large amounts of money that way. Also, if you want, you can make a guild and bypass the premium requirement by purchasing a guild island instead of a personal island. Albion is like a snowball, you start off super small but once you hit the premium you'll be able to make even more money. Use that money to upgrade your island and rake in the passive income.

Hey Alesh, great guide. Just a couples questions, do you need to purchase a book every time you want them to go out again? Also do you have to log back on and send them on each trip or can you set it so they just go get stuff consistently?

You need to resupply them with filled books anytime you want them to begin working. For this reason, there's no passive way to do this. Just like your farms you will need to comeback every day to collect and refill the journals.

You get an empty journal back when the labourer finishes their 22h cycle and you pick up the rewatd.

Trophies are still confusing me. I do know that they add happiness but there are specific tropies for every laborers. And i saw some people have tropies from novice to T7 and every laborers are happy.

This is what I'm having trouble with. On the Lumberjacks manage page I need to increase his trophies to 100% happiness, but when I try to find trophies on the Market, all that comes up are the Novice Lumberjack Trophy Journals and I already have one of those.

Gripply token I'm curious about this too. I thought the trophy said a laborer can only benefit from a trophy once. I bought 1 trophy for each of the 3 laborer and each one only had 5 extra happiness in that category. So maybe I need....60 trophies? 100/5=20*3 laborers? I think I'm missing something.

You only need one trophy of each tier it benefits all at once so you need t2-t8 general and specific for max happynes

@@tokyiryame402 the population on the game has died down enough where you should be able to gather resources without any problems the longer you gather one specific resource you get faster at that resource I'm level 70 on tier 4 and I could use tier 7 tools I gather a whole entire node in 15 seconds most people can't fucking compete against me the accumulated hours on my character only 6 days of gameplay and I already have tier 7 unlocked and now the numbers have changed I can make a million in 2 hours now thanks to my gathering speed I already have three months of Premium paid from this Gathering now I'm saving up for a mammoth so I can carry a lot more shit

Just like anything in this game it takes times to start making a profit from it. When you start getting into T5-T6, 20 tier 5 ore is gonna be worth purchasing a full book.

T2 sucks, but you need to do t2 only 1-2 times. At t4 you pay 1k for the book but you get 10k, at t5 is even more.

Dont hire mercenary labourers, they give a LOT less than any other one, like blacksmiths yield like 20x the value of the mercenary of you just sell the materials you get

It depends on the activity you do! If you like running through dungeons and the open world just get the mercenaries. If you enjoy gathering, get the gathering laborers. It's as simple as that

@@GergooTube hm... 45k for a T5 Gamekeeper's journal. I can't see how this will get me profit if I get about 20-30 hides in return. You have to get lucky and I don't know the rates for enchanted stuff yet. So maybe it turns out to be good but with current prices and no knowledge about enchanted returns I'd say it's not worth buying the books.

You can't. You need to start at T2 books, fill those with T2 activities (even if your house is already at a higher tier) until your worker has reached T3. Then level the worker up through T3 into T4, in order for it to be able to use the T4 books.

20 raw resources over 22 hours seems pretty pathetic...i can gather that on my own in, hmmmm, about 15 seconds...20 materials over 22 hours is worth dick all...even with full happiness you only going to get 40 resources over 22 hours? still useless...if this is all workers can do for you, they are an absolute waste of time.
