Your tutorials on knots and hitches is invaluable. I'm learning so much. Thank you for your knowledge and willingness to teach noobs like me. I was shocked to know you only have 28k subs. Keep it up, no matter what you're helping so many people be safe and learning to climb. I'm gonna be making my own lanyard soon thanks to you!

Fantastic Bino! Your videos have helped a lot as a new climber who is on the heavy side your gentle no nonsense sharing of knowledge has helped keep me alive and whole. Slowly im getting it as a nontreated ADHD tree climber, I have to slow down your videos to half speed to be able to follow your knot tying exercises, caveat is you sound super inebriated at half speed😂 Another fantastic tutorial in SRS ascending. Only problem I had over the weekend was descending on prusik loop knots they tightened under load and became really hard to descend, luckily there was a ladder nearby to get me down the last twelve feet of the tree. Any suggestions on maybe a better knot to use or a variation on the 3 wrap prusik (maybe less wraps/maybe more?) I need to figure this out! Thanks for all your tutoring. God bless you and yours Bino- hang loose 🤙 Timothy

Using a prussik cord and carabiner and pulley and try a Distel.

@@BinoH Thank you so much brother! I was descending using the prusik hitch, I was using a double eyed prusik cord for my prusik hitch with a pulley tender and a carabiner thru my harness... Possibly crappy static line causing the binding under load? Stuff is tough (was inexpensive) however the sheath moves a lot over the core so maybe not the best climbing rope for my fat butt 😅 I will check out the Distel hitch 👍Do you think that is the best for descending 70ft of rope? or should I tie on a fig 8 descender and rappel out? anyways thanks for the advice and the great videos Aloha from west Michigan🤙

Thanks Bino! Are you allowed to use a small throw line and weight to advance your line to the final tie in point for the certified tree climber exam?
