Yeah mostly because of the exp nerfs to dungeons when a high level carries someone in a dungeon, u end up getting much less exp than before (except when running a character through strat, the bonus bosses still give amazing exp). I had made that 4-alts video before they released their exp nerfs to dungeon carries

A little tip: The carrier can be any class. Just leave the group at the end of the run and 1min later you will get ported out of the dungeon. (You can use this method while transmog farming solo etc. too. With ServerHop or GroupFinder and so on.)

Couple side notes for artifact/legion questing: 1) Once you hit 98, if you don't get the quest to start legion content, just log out, wait a few seconds, and log back in and you'll get it. 2) If you're maxed out on heirloom exp bonus, do all the bonus objectives for the legion zone you're leveling in, do the end dungeon quest for that zone, and send your order hall companions on player exp missions, you'll hit 110 in 3 zones and can completely skip your least favorite one.

You can also just go to the NPC that usually sends you on your way without the breadcrumb quest (The NPC that allows you to do the scenario or skip it). Did that on an alt less than a week ago.

One thing you may have missed is to bind herblism and mining to the alt so when youre questing you get very nice exp finding materials along the way good as a dps

I'm new back to the game, started yesterday but I had a super old account for Burning Crusade and I had flying there, it was easy to do. What is it that makes flying difficult now? Has it been changed?

Flying in warlords of draenor and legions areas require some annoying achievements to be able to fly.

I plan on playing my main through the story entirely but I was thinking of grinding 2 alts to 60 to use the level 100 and the level 110 boost I will get, because apparently after 60 I can have my crafts boosted to 700 and a level 3 garrison, right?

The treasures in draenor give a good amount of xp up until level 101, where it drops right off to about 200xp from 101 onwards. i had most of nagrand to go and a few hours until legion invasion, so i smashed out a cheeky level in nagrand pretty quickly.

Hi there, so I reached 37 on my NB warlock, went to strat with my 120 friend, and attempted to run for xp. There is currently no xp reward for killing bonus bosses or completing the dungeon when going in unqueued. Not sure if this is a bug or intended, but thought I'd let people here know since it's a main point in the guide.

it is intender, it's a fix to make dungeon boosting go away. The dungeon completion bonus was added into the last boss, however if you just do group finder and happen to have the banner that gives 15% more xp (guild stuff) you can basically get a lot of xp from the final boss which is recommended

So I've had my warrior at lvl 72 for several days without playing on it.. because I just didn't feel like leveling since the zone I was in sucked. But then I watched your vid, did the kara farm and got to 80 in 2 hours. Thanks a lot jb, you're the best!

I'm glad I watched this. I think for my first allied race character I'll try leveling through the scaling zones to see how good or bad it is, then opt to do this on the ones I make after. I already had most of these addons, excluding Legion Con and Legion Invasions so that'll be useful too. The *only* complaint I have (and this is severe nitpicking) is your pronunciation of 'satyr'. :P

Worth noting that if you do have flying in Draenor, you should have more than enough resources to build the stables and stay xp-potted the whole time. With the Stables in the Garrison, you can interact with items while mounted, so often times, you can hover just above the mobs that would normally aggro, loot the treasure, then keep on going. Much quicker, especially if you are just about to log off or something, just build the Stables at base level.

I would recommend doing draenor treasures and bonus objectives to 101 if you have any left. Extremely fast even at 100.

addon: leatrix plus - auto accepts quests and turns them in. can set it to accept the reward 1 or 2. gives extremely fast looting, so fast you don't even see what you looted. saves an extreme amount of time when questing. please pin

80-90 carrying through grim batol works well, nearly 1 level per instance, you can even skip the bosses and trash run it, die at the end by jumping off your back at start reset, it's a beauty

At 98, if the quest doesn't appear you need to re-log. Instead of getting the starter quests for a new zone in Legion just go there and find a quest to save a little bit of time. (Easier with flying) Great videos!

How does the teleport out and in to stratholme work for mages? I do not get it. I used my class order mage teleport and used it again but nothing happened. Does it only work when i am in a group with someone?

No I was wrong for that. I assumed the mage teleport was similar to the druids and dks order hall teleport but it’s not. One way to quickly leave dungeon is delete hearthstone and use “character stuck” method and it kills u and teleports u right outside of strat

FYI - when a druid (I think monk and DK too) teleports out of the dungeon from the end and then back in, they appear at the start of the dungeon (not the nearest gy). so they can just run out, reset, and run back in.

I think you misunderstood the RAF post. Heirlooms aren't automatically capped at 50%. I've seen reports of people testing with and without the second heirloom ring. The 50% experience gain cap is for RAF only from what I've seen.

Worth noting for Stratholme, if you are carrying 2 or more people for the powerlevel 37-60 , you can have the two of them sit at the entrance, they still get all the bonus XP from the objectives and can run out and summon the runner from the start when the run finishes.

Erm, when you go to spires of arak where do you start to get that Home Away from Home buff? Google says it's tied to the outpost you set up there but I don't seem to have the quest to start that up, I'm assuming b/c we bypassed the garrison quest line up until this point? So how do I start that up?

U can still build ur garrison without doing the wod intro. At lvl 96 u can get a quest to go there off ur hero’s call board but I don’t no if u actually have to have that quest to start there. If u can’t find the starting quest I recommend building your garrison to level one garrison at least and grab quest off heroes call board. U get home away from home buff after u rescue the human or orc from the bird people (roughly 10-12 quests in). If u haven’t built your garrison yet, remember to start the building quests u have to find where khadgar and velen/or drek’thar. Roughly near the coast of your starting zone

Should I skip the trash mobs leading up to Maiden? I went through there last night but apparently one of those mobs puts a debuff on you that causes you to heal them when you attack them, which made killing them impossible. I had a small group so it was hard to tell which one put the debuff on me and it was late so didn't have time to go back and maybe try a different approach. Is it better to just skip this and reset? I cleared all the other trash.

hey awesome guide!! got a sub! Also quick tip for those leveling up try to find someone else who is also leveling up around your level range in the 'who' tab and whisper them and see if they want to trade boosts (if your like me and dont have a friend/other acc./gold to boost you ) and you will be surprised as to how many agree to it. Notes; 1:-try to find someone at your level range and your speed-leveling mindset so that yall stay at around the same level range and are spamming the same dung. 2:- get the addon SavedInstances to know when you will hit your instance cap and how long it will take before the reset .i was getting about a 15min reset on strat with a 3.2min run on a dh (you do the math cuz i cant :P) 3:- sorry for typos i have been leveling the whole night now xP 4:- if your at 60 and want to do rampart boost let me know here and after my nap ill be happy to trade boosts

By using their class order hall teleport ability again.first u use it to teleport u to ur order hall, then use it again and it takes u to a graveyard right outside of strat. (Does not work with mage, was an error on my part) but check comments, some others came up with much simpler quicker ideas to quickly get back to beginning of the instance

When you get to WoD don’t you have to go the intro quest to have a garrison. So if you go to the camp fire it will skip all that right?

Na u can skip the intro. U just have to find alliance or horde npc to start the garrison building chain quest. The horde one starts a little bit north of where the garrison actually is. But as soon as u find them they will have a quest ready for u

It should be noted that scaling is still totally broken. I have full heirloom with the rest being standard quest gear. In spires the mobs have between 30-40k hp and most would kill me in 3/4 hits at 98. I went to legion (same gear but i did have the artifact weapon) and most of the mobs had around 4-7k hp with the elites having around 20 something thousand (it varied). The regular mobs in spires had more hp and hit harder than the elites did in the legion content.

Unfortunately the level method with the stratholme dungeon won't work anymore. Went to try it with my priest, she was almost level 57 and she got after one complete run, running behind the carry Character only 15k exp.

@lvl 90 you can get a quest from Chromie at the seat of knowledge that will give you a quest item that ports you to timeless isle. Boom, time saved. You're Welcome! The Seat of Knowledge is very close to Shrine and I recommend questing to 90 in mop anyway to avoid as much of wod as possible.

Quick thing I think would be useful, once you hit 92 you can still go to Gorgrond and do the intro quests there, its 30k xp/ quest and they're all extremely quick and close. Plus, new zone to grab bonus objectives and treasures.

That’s strange. R u doing all the bonus objective bosses. Including the mail man, and the guy who spawns In random spots (forgot his name) because the experience comes from the bonus objective bosses. And loads of it. I’m not at home atm but later I can test it on my monk but I’m pretty sure it’s still working

I’ll have to do some more testing. I’m curious if a higher level caries the alt through kara trash, would it be more xp than carrying through quickly through hellfire ramparts. Sadly there’s very few options in this bracket without Kara. As for the estimated I’m not sure since my research is done on many alts in all sorts of leveling brackets :(

Am currently lvl 81. Just was at Cata's Throne of Tides's last boss Mindbender Ghur'sha. I'm DK tank with full BoA's and enchants, but his instant fire frontal cone attack just one shots me at the 2nd cast. I looked at adventure guide to see how to deal with it, but nothing usefull. I tried doing this boss with 4 different groups (even letting other players go tank), but every time the tank got killed at this fire attack. So my suggestion would be, if you get Throne of Tides, just leave this dungeon as the final boss is impossible due to it being overtuned. You have experience with this boss @Jburtonsemo?

That is actually the boss before the last boss. I believe he’s skippable. Instead of going down the right tunnel leading to him, head to the left tunnel where the water elementals are and that hallway leads to last boss

I can't find a working version of the NPCScan. There isn't a 7.1.0 the closest is 7.1.0.1 and it doesn't work. Also tried the most current version.

That s a tough question!! I have still ran gnomgergan when I got it but I’m not sure in terms of efficiency if it’s better to leave and quest. Wish I had a better answer for u :(

Yeah to be honest exact problem with that is actually with stubborn tanks that like to do the first boss (Trogg with basilisk) or for example when you get BRD and guess what, the tank wants to run the W H O L E dungeon, when you can't tank because of your class is quite dull

Just a heads up! I dont know if this was a thing before, but a ton of the chest i was opening in Val'shra where giving me about 22820 exp each. It wasnt every chest but a lot of them did. some extra details: i was lvl109 on war, in full hairloom, rest exp and there was a invasion going on. I hope this helps everyone else.

Only issue is that the dungeon scales up to 90 so u would have to get carried. It’s a fairly lengthy dungeon. But would be cool to get the mount. Would be slower than karazhan but I think that’s worth a try cuz I’m not sure how much exp u would get for the dungeon completion bonus

I was doing it on two accounts. It is possible to do it on a single account but some say it is considered as an exploit and could get u banned. But I did a video on this (I carried 4 alts on one account in a dungeon at once). Check my channel, the video is easy to find. And if u r confused by it, check the top comment that I have pinned in the comments section of the video

Can you get past the opera boss in Karazhan? Isn't there a path that doesn't unlock unless you kill that boss?

No u can’t get passed that without doing the boss. Farming trash in beat quarter, dining hall, dance hall and all the trash mobs sitting out watching the opera. Then reset and repeat

Hello JB. I hope your exams and college things went well. I have other questions for you, i like asking questions. Maybe it will give some answers to others. First of all, i'M so bored trying to get my flying in legion i'll now level up my druid resto. About that, what is your suggestion for leveling the rep with all these factions? World Quest? Nope! 86 rep point only each time. For that druid... its a resto druid (not doing any damage)... What is the best enchantement? i dont think elemental force will go well on that? And same thing with the Mark of the hidden satyr... What is your suggestion. Is the guide really good for a resto druid... or a tank, per example? i will not do dps, its boring and taking too long waiting for dongeons and i'm getting tired to always rinse repeat all the quest while waiting. So... what is all your suggestion about all of that?

I do actually have a video where I talk about all the enchants and talents for each class and spec that I prefer to use when leveling, be sure to check that one out it may be helpful, I would post a link but I’m away from my computer and using the app lol. For rep sadly world quests are a good option. But also follower missions can give good rep but be sure to make sure u always have the bonus loot at 200% for even more rep. Make sure during the world quest week (gain 50% more rep from broken isle factions) to really do as many world quests as u can. Also make sure u have done all the quests in these zones for each faction. And make sure u do ur weekly chest for world quests (where u go to the quartermaster of the rep faction after completion 4 world quests) these five decent rep especially the Kirin Tor Chest. I wish I was able to offer more help to ya :(

its ok man. But world quest dont give anything to me. 86 rep each time when u need to reach 21k, u know thr drill. for the 200% add on rep, you probably talking about that Argus thing with a really low % chance drop. And for your video of all class (enchants), well i dont find it. but thx man.

Yeah I completely forgot to mention bows! You Would have to get a scope sadly. Nothing compares to elemental force in terms of scopes but after like level 60 elemental force becomes much less powerful

After the dungeon exp hotfixes, I believe the fastest way is random queuing. Questing is still inefficient when comparing exp per hour

Thanks! Yeah that's what I was finding when leveling my Protection Paladin. I decided to start fresh on a new realm and didn't want to spend any money transferring or boosting characters so your video was super helpful! With a full heirloom set I was finding I was getting around a level every dungeon depending on which one it was. Obviously it was incredibly fast to get a dungeon on a tank spec but the experience was fantastic. It was also much more enjoyable since they scale now. Keep up the good work! EDIT: Questing didn't seem crazy inefficient, but I can imagine on DPS you have to do it between queues which isn't all that bad. The like 25K experience bonus you get at the end of the dungeon is like 5 quests worth though I believe since most of my quests I were finding were around 4K experience, and I would imagine it would take longer to complete 5 or so quests than just running through a dungeon.

Starting from scratch with brand new account. I haven't played WoW for 3 years now. What's the best class to get started with. Which of these tips don't apply? How do I get this armor everyone keeps mentioning (heirloom?). Thanks for the help in advance.

There’s a vendor in ironforge and undercity that sells them. May need a decent bit of gold saved up tho

You can get them in the explores hall in Ironforge, and from guild vendors in the major cities, but unfortunately it might be a bit too expensive for a fresh account. heirloom items are one of those things that players at end game can throw some gold at so they can have an easier time leveling up alts and such. That is unless you are some auction house wizard. The lowest cost heirloom is 500g and it only works up to lvl 60. After that you can pay 1000 to upgrade the cap to 90. then 2000 for 100. 3000 for 110. It's pricey.

Regarding using specific classes for strat. I use my DH and deleted my hearthstone a while back and just strip the gear off and then use the unstuck to kill him and port to graveyard. I never bothered to get my hearthstone again and I don't feel like it's been a hassle. Hardly use my normal HS these days at all.

Just wanted to say the 70(3)-80 bracket tip was very helpful. A lot of this I kind of knew on my own just from leveling a lot of alts in the past but I don't tend to go off the beaten path so going into an old raid to grind mobs isn't something I would typically think to try. I must say it worked very well, think I only had to clear the trash maybe 7 times, I started at 73 and am about to hit 80 as I type this. :)

I found queuing for panda was better queue time was less about 15 mins as dps where as cata I never even got an eta and sat in one queue for half an hour

ok so i followed your guide im level 90 i went to timeless isle and did the skip but it wont let me accept the quest to get my level 1 garrison its called vouchsafe our arrival. I see 3 small plots but cant see or accept any quests

That’s strange. Try heading closer to the beach area to see if U see velen. The quest should be available

Can you boost your own alts like in your other videos in stratholm properly? And if so how many can you boost at a time? I dont know if you can pull the whole dungeon as there might be Bosses you have to kill to get to the others.

U could do it since the bosses will follow u I believe. Theoretically u could do it with 4 alts, as long as none of the bosses leash back to their spawn but I don’t think they would reset

I tried using a character 10 levels above the dungeon mobs and still got reduced xp :(

I tried the Strat carry. It didn't actually work. Seems you have to stay in proximity to the character in order to reap any of the benefits.

Elemental force is fairly cheap but hidden satyr is expensive :( an alternative is getting a “gift of (crit/haste/versatility)” neck enchant. Happy leveling!

Hi.... I'm not a pro or expert, but what I do in lvv 37 to 60 is pretty much the same thing, but I inv my carry person not as a leader, so when I get to the end of the dungeon I go out with my character that is at the door and I leave the group with my carry person so It kicks me out after a min, that way both characters are at the entrance of the dungeon without teleporting or anything like that. Sorry my bad English

In Karazhan, I just kill the beasts, run out, "reset all instances" and when I get back in, the mobs are still gone. Am I doing something wrong?

That weird. I’ve never had that happen before. As long as u didn’t kill any bosses (excluding beast boss) it should all reset :/ I’ve done this countless time but haven’t experienced that, one of the bosses has to be dead somewhere. That’s the only thing I can come up with :(
