Hi, question from the first 50 seconds. Why does it need to be an ‘irreversible’ process instead of an asymmetric one? If the spreading of a wavefunction is asymmetric and diffusive (as opposed to dissipative) and therefore increases uncertainty / ability to do work, why isn’t this considered the simplest way to measure or show time?
