Love that hair mask! It makes hair strong and very "voluptuous". Like very light and gives the blowout a very luxurious look. I love to use it after Joico's Deep Penetrating Reconstructor. X
@heidiguttenberg4 жыл бұрын
That sounds like an interesting combo!
@joao2505btch4 жыл бұрын
@@heidiguttenberg it is, the reconstructor is kind of like Olaplex as isn't focused on giving hair beauty and softness, it's more for strength and reconstruction, (even though I feel it gives a little beauty by itself, if your hair is not super dry you can use it by itself, even though it's recommended by Joico to be followed by a hair mask for optimal resoults). On the Joico 4 Step K-Pak Reconstruction it is recommended to be followed by a K-Pak hydrating mask (Intense Hydrator) which I never had the pleasure to use, but I do always follow up with either Revitaluxe mask or the Moisture Recovery mask. It depents on what I want to achieve, since Moisture Recovery is more for dryer, coarser hair and its heavyer more nutritious, and Revitaluxe is more lightweight, more hydrating. I tend to use Revitaluxe if my hair after the reconstructor is okay, but if it is still in need of something more heavy, I'll use Moisture Recovery. It's absolutely perfect!

Thank you so much for this review! My hair is bleached and naturally dry. It is also stiff from the bleaching. I tried the Shea Moisture you reviewed recently and I loved it. But I do like how the top of your hair is so flexible as you mentioned. Mine is brittle in that area. I think I’ll try this one to see what happens. I have watched several of your videos at this point and I always want to try everything,🤣😂 but I’m curious if you have given a five star ⭐️ review to any one product? We have very similar hair, though yours appears a lot healthier, but I’m working diligently on improving the health of my hair. I just love being a blonde and don’t want to change that. By the way, I bought the Hot Tools brush/dryer also based on your recommendation and I LOVE it!!!! Thanks again for making my life a little easier! Stay safe Bella! Dios te prospere mucho!

Hola! I really like this mask because the instant results! But you really need to moisturize with this type of mask, you can do this with your shampoo and conditioner, the leave in, and even the oils to be protein free, so you don’t have this issue of the dry texture feel of the next day. Just consider this could happen with many “repair” masks, or treatments and products in general that have protein! I totally love the elasticity it revealed in your hair! That’s the protein making its job!!! Just keep moisturizing your hair! (But don’t over moisturize either... hahaha, I know, it’s tricky) keep safe! Love from Mexico 🇲🇽
@heidiguttenberg4 жыл бұрын
Hola Vicky!!! So you shampoo-mask-condition? I actually didn’t feel my hair dry at all the next day. But some other reviewers in the comments have experienced this, maybe your tip can help them! Or even me if I happen to experience it in the future.
@MnAino4 жыл бұрын
Yes! I read it but it’s very likely to be a protein overload :) instead of hair damage. I shampoo-condition-protein mask and if the hair is really damage, I do another mask but moisturizing only protein free right after the protein mask(or if the repair mask say so, like the Moroccan oil repair mask, it actually says to do a moisturizing treatment right after you apply it because this masks is packed with lot of protein, for example) if the hair isn’t that very much damage then skip this last mask, (because protein masks tend to close the hair texture, so it’s important to moist before applying it, if the hair is protein overload sensitive) but it is important that the shampoo and conditioner to be protein free the day you do the protein mask if you start to experience this kind of next day dryness... if you don’t feel it, then your moisture and protein balance is good! And the products you are using keeps balanced your hair at its actual state (because the hair state can actually change by taking care of it, then you may have to do some adjustments to keep your routine great for your hair again, and so on). I hope this information helps! :*
@MnAino4 жыл бұрын
Aaand!!! Lastly! I forgot to mention that the leave ins and oils and stylers, serums, everything you put on your hair after this type of masks need to be moisturizing if you start to feel that next day dryness... :) and maybe stop using the mask that often too :)

Can I say my humble opinion about this mask? My hair got gradually worse and worse from it, although initial effect was good my hair would become dry the very next day. It’s ingredients contain Alcohol, silicons, jojoba oil, glycerin and SALT. What I notice from this mask is “immediate absorption” as if it’s melting into the hair fibers. I have thin lightened damaged hair like yours. You should do a review and then include: “My hair the next day» video, because during second and third days after this mask my hair was tangled AF, it dries out your hair due to all the SALT it contains, and sorry but is blondes we need keratin and “working mask” instead of “masking the symptoms for a day”. I give this mask 1 star. Sorry :(
@heidiguttenberg4 жыл бұрын
Miss Viking thanks for your review and ideas! I will definitely include updates. Generally if by the time I edit which in this case was 3 days after filming, I feel my hair is feeling weird or bad or something has changed my mind completely, I include an update on the video. Sometimes it’s a voice over, you may have noticed that on past videos. In this case, so far, so good. But I love that we all document our experiences here, it makes a more complete review of each product.
@MnAino4 жыл бұрын
Usually keratin treatments and other treatments with proteins can leave the hair feeling like it is very dry. If the hair is not that protein overload sensitive you can feel it the next day you made the treatment (actually, if your hair felt dry the next day it’s very probably it was a protein overload kind of easy to fix, but if you just kept using the mask without balancing the moisture in your hair, then that was the issue). It is because there has to be a perfect balance of proteins and moisture in your hair. So... I don’t think the mask itself is the one to blame, I really don’t believe the hair experts make products that will harm your hair that bad. So what I recommend is, to read the ingredients and if a product has proteins and all your hair care has proteins, the you have it, it’s most likely to be a protein overload, the only thing you have to do then is to make a moisturizing treatment, a deep one and stop using a lot of protein on your hair care routine. For example, if you have the shampoo with protein, and the conditioner, and the treatment, and the leave in, and the finish spray, and all of them have protein, then you need to stop using all that protein and maybe just use one (maybe the leave in, because damage hairs do need protein) and all of the other products change them to be moisturizing.... and it’s very probably the hair will be better within some weeks... so... i hope this information helps. Sulfates and salt aren’t bad, actually salt is very good for the scalp and prevents fungus to grow in our beautiful hairs and sulfates avoids build up to sit and allows hair to be clean and ready for a good any kind of treatment you want to put on that hair. Just remember to balance proteins with moisturizing products. And one last tip, when it comes to protein products for hair, use them as directed, don’t leave them for a single minute more, because it can cause that protein overload we all fear... hahahaha.... that’s it... bye!! Have a good day!! :D
