So true, Bruce always did pull out another pair of Nunchakus. Return of the Dragon comes to mind right off the bat.

My opinion about holding them up near the chain is because to most people you don’t really have to use as much effort spinning and maneuvering, thus when I see practitioner holding them in this manner it is hard to take them serious and mentally you are unable to overcome the seemingly awkward feel of using the Bruce lee way with greater range but they seem heavier of which one do not care to try and overcome. If you look at it from Bruce vantage point, Bruce was powerful in his wrist so it was no problem plus most people swing their whole arm which makes it difficult to maneuver I found that one can get caught up in fancy spins and don’t realize the importance of blending in the strikes becoming one ready to strike in the process, then as you grow into higher levels. I have been practicing since the eighties and can confidently use them with power and accuracy like using a loaded weapon.

Ngl I have always looooooved Bruce lee and he is absolutely the reason I’m learning nunchaku lol but the more I watch him the more I think wow he’s really just doing basic nunchaku moves, he just does them super well and super fast so that’s why he looks so cool haha no hate at all! Just observation.. I think there is better nunchaku artists out there tho tbh like that one Kung fu master with those long steel chucks! I’m sure you’ve seen him
