Collateral damage is THE best perk for morty, down air, forward air, nair/forward smash, and the shot off of grenades, all ground bounce thus all of those moves do 1 additional damage so down air does 11 after bounce instead of 10 for example and when stacked 12. The amount of bounces he does during combos is the most in the game. Speed force assist is garbage since it’s a low 4-8% increase that’s very low over something like collateral, triple jump or tasmanian trigonometry for surviving longer. Make it rain dog is also bad for morty and isn’t worth a slot since it makes launching grenades actually harder. When using grenades you should be hitting them with jab or forward air to send them forward with an active hitbox, this perk makes your grenades go further away from you making punching them harder. Again it DOES increase the distance of moves like snake shot however that move is mainly for extending combos since it has little end lag and great range already you shouldn’t be sniping with it for a small 5-7 extra damage when you could use it point blank and combo off of it with down air or forward air. What you said about ignite is absolutley false, morty’s snake shot and dirt both apply fire and are combo starters/extenders adding lots of damage. Ice to beat you isn’t great anymore once while it does a flat 15% slow it can’t be increased any further like before since it got nerfed meaning it will apply one stack of ice (two of stacked) and no extra stacks after consecutive hits. The best perks are I dodge We Dodge, tasmanian trigonometry, ignite, Triple jump and collateral damage( A MUST) Overall with the risk of sounding rude this is kind of a trash video that gives bad information to players but whatever. I am top 200 morty in 2v2s top 800 in 1v1s and top 400 overall so what do I know.

The true potential of the grenade signature perk is revealed when you start to incorporate the splitting aspect of the grenades with the grounded side special. It cooks them to maximum explosion radius very quickly and with double the grenades it covers a massive area stage.

This is something I really wanted to discuss in the video but I totally blanked on it when scrambling to get it out as soon as I could. The splitting combined with Oh That's Still A Grenade can lead to some insane kill potential and just pure damage

@@zanyls9637 it definitely did, that grenade tech is brand new info to me. Not to mention the ice perk being slept on by me since launch. I dodge you dodge too tbh. I always run Tasmanian trajectory plus snowball and coffezilla on morty and it works really well but it’s good to know about these higher skill higher reward options.
