Those wipes look pretty good. But if you haven't got any of those around I've found that New Dawn Power Wash spray works great on my hands it's got a little bit of alcohol in it,that seems to cut through the oil and grease very well, better than regular Dawn, and if you've got some real nasty greasy stuff like stuff you find on the side of an engine block of an old leaky Ford, spray your hands first with WD, no I mean Blaster. Rub that in real good then use the Dawn Power Wash, and of course use water to get it all off. Oh and dry your hands, if yer one of those people. Not trying to be a commercial but I really do like the stuff.

I’ve been building a motorized picnic table out of some scrap metal I’ve had laying around. It’s turned into basically the size of a Honda civic lol. Do you have any recommendations for a front disc brake set up. I’m running 23” golf cart tires with 14” rims. Having a really hard time finding a hub assembly that will accept the 4x100 lug pattern.

Which roller weights in the cvt are great for gokart top speed ? Is 50 or 55mph reasonable in a 170cc gy6 gokart?

Takes major engine mods to get that kinda speed from that displacement not to mention cvt tuning and gear ratio mods before a rear chain ratio is selected... Its not impossible but it's hard to do on a reasonable budget (this is coming from someone that built a qmb 139 50cc to push 85mph while still pulling wheelies off the line)

Your using the gearbox to go backwards to do just that. Go in reverse. Keep your foot off the floor and you could run a 999cc with one for sure.

Probably. It is a large bore short stroke basically a bored out 212 with the same stroke. A small bore longer stroke has less harmonics then a large bore short stroke engine so I could see them doing away with the 224 as a wild cat 223 has a better broader power range with the longer stroke smaller bore. I personally haven't been looking for them so I I'm not 100% sure more like 60%. Yet I'd still personally recommend a wildcat or a Tillotson over the predator 224.

He said it was a "Vegas Carts" gearbox. I did a search on their website with no mention of it. Looks similar to the one sold on E Bay. But those are only rated for around 16 HP.

I disagree with swingarms, especially when you have the powertrain on the swingarm. Single axis actuation and all that unsprung weight? Terrible. Nonetheless, I'll drop this comment and a like to help you fight the algorithm. All hail the algorithm.

You have to consider the advantages of swingarm-type rear suspensions. They are very cheap, very easy to fabricate, very light and very strong. There are "better" designs available, sure, but that is not the point of a swingarm. This system exists purely for getting reasonably good suspension with a stupid simple design.
