Be interested to see another part where you guys run these through a course or competition shooting cqb and then transitioning to longer ranges on the fly. Series has been awesome.

Awesome work pushing those rounds out THAT far with that length barrel. I’d love to see the ballistic affects on soft targets at those distances.

This has been a very informative series awesome job. I have two upper receivers set up with 12.5" barrel's. Built on ZEV uppers, PRI carbon fiber handguards, and I'm running ZEV lower with VLTOR A5 buffer tube, A5-H3 buffer weight with the green buffer spring. One is the TRIARC 12.5 w/mid length gas system the other is the Roscoe 12.5 w/carbine length gas system. My ammo of choice is my duplicated 77gr OTM and I have a bunch of it. With both I'm able to hit consistently my steel silhouette target out to 1080 yards suppressed of course. Both barrels are stupid accurate but I do favor y'alls mid length gas system. With my lower set up and y'alls mid length gas, CQB double taps are so quick It's like shooting a .22lr.

What I've found is my 12.5 and 13.9 shoot 69g Match King Hollow Point the most consistent.

930 yards What size of the steel plate you guys are making hits at? do know the groups your holding 10" pattern extra. another test would be run 1000 rounds 556 cheap ammo through them and don't clean it and then run some of the same ammo you tested for accuracy see if you getting close to the same groups. most classes I have taken, running a carbine extra we shoot at least 1000 rounds over a period and I want know if this gun will be just as accurate or close to when i need to make a 600 or more yard head shoot extra when the time comes. I like to know if this going be a work horse type of build and not a safe queen. I hope when the testing all done that my self as a buyer when I am forking over $6000- 8000k depending on the optic and other items that are on these builds that I am not wasting a lot of money.

All good points Amigo, as you know we can go down so many paths and so many variables come into play. we just grabbed two demo 12.5s off the rack that have been in service since Mar 2019 and unknown round count since last cleaning and decide to roll that way. we have discussed on completely scrubbing the barrels of the two rifles we used and shoot more groups but that will have to be for another day. don't have the exact size but I can get that from the range. thanks for your input Amigo.

I found the best round for my 12.5” was the 68gn frontier BTHP but it also shoots the 75gn frontier BTHP really good and the 62gn fmj frontier. Getting right at an inch with the 75gn and under an inch with the 62 and 68. Luckily I just so happened to have several hundred rounds of the 68 and 75gn so it worked out perfect lol. Getting 2710fps from the 68gn frontier 2610 from the 75gn and 2870fps from the 62gn I just rounded all those velocities up to the nearest 10th btw. Shooting in south miss at sea level about 90 degrees and 500000% humidity lol

What twist rates are you running? None of the barrels on your site state that data. This would have far more to do with stabilization than the length as stated.
