Hey, Nick here! This channel started with us traveling across the southern United States during winter of 2018, and has evolved into a new adventure in and of itself.
In 2020, we added a new member to our family, moved to our new home base in Tennessee and embarked on another adventure over the summer. In that adventure, I realized that there was a huge need for a rock-solid internet device, specifically made for those on the go.
When we arrived home in the fall, we began work on what would be our newest adventure - bringing a brand new device to the world that will help people fulfill their dreams of hitting the road and staying 'connected' wherever they are.
To say I'm excited would be an under-statement!
We LOVE to explore this wonderful world our God created, and now with this additional calling, we are super excited to see where the road will lead! Happy Father's day! With our trailer we had an EZlift hitch w/anti sway bar....then I added 4 shocks...and they made the biggest difference of all. Handling was awesome afterwards. Added bonus...things didn't always fall out of the cupboards when you opened the doors. I got everything I needed off of Ebay and pieced it together ..way cheaper. BTW it was all bolt on.

Rich - shocks on the trailer axles?? That sounds like a great idea! Is it pretty generic parts for most travel trailers?

@@WeCanExploreIt They have 'standard 'kits you can buy....kinda spendy...so I just pieced mine together on ebay. The bottom brackets were the hardest to find. It's been about 8yrs ago that I did this . ..Anyway I got everything off of ebay. ..shock travel/ axle diam / upper and lower mounts After I got everything it only took a couple of hrs....but it was totally worth the effort. I was surprised by the difference . One other benefit is ...it takes some stress off of the other suspension parts .

Great video Nick! I have a 27' Rockwood Ultra Lite and the 12000 lb Equalizer hitch - Pulling with a GMC Sierra 1500 2015. I also have Firestone air bags with an electric pump and on-the-fly switch. Firstly the hitch needs to be properly setup. I use the air bags to "fine tune" minor differences in how I have each trip loaded. I use the tape measure on both the truck and trailer to confirm levelness. I am SUPER HAPPY with my setup and it's performance - almost zero sway, and running very level. Equalizer now have some nylon inserts that silence those horrible sounds without affecti9ng performance.

Be sure and use a drill and not a impact drill to adjust the tension bars. It will sheer the pin inside if you do. I loved our Propride hitch. Moved up to a 5th wheel now. Ordered my Insty yesterday, can't wait to get it.

Thanks so much! Appreciate the suggestion on the drill too, I've been using a drill simply because it's quieter, but it's good to know that's the right tool for the job!

I just watched your video. Do you think you could tow your Cougar trailer with the tailgate down using a hat PridePro hitch. I want to put an ATV in the bed.

The pro pride's hitch added like a foot or more distance between the truck and the trailer with all that stuff, so it's very possible. Unfortunately we don't have this setup anymore so I can't check for ya but I would say it's a definite possibility

It's great until you're on a down hill grade and apply a diesel's exhaust brake. Then the trailer tries to pass the truck and causes the "Hensley Bump".

Which WD bars did you get? They have 600, 800, 1000, 1200, and 1400 lb bars. Also, you may want to check your tongue weight.
