I never really thought much about sapphic relationships and polyamory. But after watching Amphibia. THAT IS LITERALLY ALL THAT IS ON MY MIND! Anne, Marcy, and Sasha are so freaking cute with each other! I just can't pick one over the other, they all deserve to be happy together.

For instance, a nonbinary person and their girlfriend could be described as being in a sapphic relationship. So yea, it has some great connotations as solidarity between bi women and lesbians and includes nonbinary people. That's why a lot of people like it.
