summary: - use “attack ground” to attack keeps that are out of vision with trebs - shift queue with springalds on their siege, take 1/3 of your springalds and shift queue on their springalds from top to bottom, take 1/3 and queue from bottom to top, take 1/3 and attack in the middle, you will kill first - with mangonels (or bees) you want to shift queue on enemy archers in the *middle* of the mass, if you a-move you just attack the front guy and miss out on AOE damage. then often no more need for micro once you’ve shift queued - see video for numbers on how many springald shots to kill different units. springalds take two shots, unless you have the siege university upgrade then it’s 3 shots - use scatter formation to spread your infantry around your siege units to defend against enemy cavalry

I am terrible at siege matches. I have better eco and a winning up until it becomes a siege battle where I take multiple terrible fights and end up losing. So I gotta practice this

This is exactly my problem too. I love playing as the malians cause they're so eco based and do well in early game with harassing and sniping the enemy. But once I get into castle age I struggle a lot. Despite having so many units cause the barrack landmark. I don't know how to use my units effectively and get stomped every time. This is for sure a video I'll be coming back to again and again to study 👍

What I want to know most is how you manage your control groups. How do you so quickly assign and unassign them and what's the logic you use in a game? I see you mostly do 1,2,3 and that's it

French wood traders Mangonels or Ottoman Big Bombards i use in 4v4 and build siege only. The Japanees infantry bombards are nice, cost not wood, and can groundfire destroy stone walls

Cmon Beasty, I don't need a guide for protecting my siege. I still have a few trebs... around here... I think... what are these horses doing here...I don't remember making horses. Ah well I'm just going to make another round of siege and not repeat the mistake again 50 seconds later. OMG I didn't know you can just ground attack with trebs.
