I don't think that's the case. 90% of the flashy youtube videos are in 3rd person, but every actual player I have seen (like people playing at work during downtime) plays in first.

@@Cruor34 I don't think that's too much of an exaggeration. I've seen countless people that prefer playing in third person in vanilla, which i struggle to comprehend but. With the amount of third person exclusive mods, including most combat mods, you can see the bias for third person.

As a first person supremacist (even in elden ring) This is an absolute treat of a video to come across. Just a few days ago i was compelled to work on a new modlist. Already had a handful of the must haves like improved cam (which i would highly recommend downloading an INI preset, default settings are a bit wonky) and precision, but there were quite a few new ones i picked up like the animation replacers dynamic impacts. Solid video.

@@twelvevoltage Well yea i used a side step animation replacer. Most annoying moments is getting knocked down but if anything it makes it more fun. The first time i beat elden ring was in first person, and that was over the first half of this year. And then the dlc dropped not long after so i finished all of that in first person as well. I did absolutely use mimic tear and and changed my build to focus more on frost build-up but. I think that's fair.

Theres a new mod called dismembering framework which might be a good replacer for simple beheading ng since it affects the whole body

I installed it and tried it out, it works but it definitely takes some effort to get limb dismemberment as it's not particularly easy to aim for them. But it's certainly more of a "wait until there's addons" kind of mod, quite barebones right now but the focus on compatibility and ease of adding addons is promising.

@@FelipeMAPT it's already an amazing mod wdym? lol I have over 900+ mods installed with a lot of body modifications and still work perfectly and pairing it with maximum carnage is a godsend, maybe just a problem with your load order or you didn't install it correctly that's why it doesn't work

Nice video, im a first person gamer so i already had most of these. I hope the author of CFPAO is inspired by some of MFPAOs animations. Mainly the backwards powerattack animations. I love the concept with steping back to then lunge forwards. With CFPAO animations and Precision you dont hit anything with your backwards powerattacks anymore. It was a pain in the ass to go through all MFPAO animations in OAR to disable all animations and only keep the specific ones i liked over CFPAO. Also i agree that the bow animations in CFPAO are a bit janky but theyre still more fluid than the MFPAO ones, which look really stiff. Also the CFPAO author wants to add interaction animations at some point, which im really excited for. Then that mod will be the definitive first person evolution (together with Improved Camera of course) in my book.

Warning about precision in first person, as it's even noticeable in this video. NPC's literally can't hit you unless you make their weapon reach insanely long. The AI just doesn't know they need to get closer before they commit to a swing. Bro is just whiffing at 3:10 lol

thank you for the great content! a genuine joy to watch your stuff: concise and to the point, simple yet effective. and a massive bonus for first person focused mods. for me elder scrolls games have always felt far better in first person. quick question regarding trying to replicate your modlist: do you install in the order that the mods are listed in column A of the spreadsheet? if not what general rules for installation order do you try and follow when making a list? all the best and keep up the great work!

Great work finding and putting these mods together. I love the Cinematic Kills Plus mod. At first I thought this was down to Precision, but no... an actual mod. There's one issue I have with 1st person view relating to a mod I believe we all love using. EVG Animated Traversal, in first person is hard on the eyes because Skyrim was never designed for such a thing. The clipping through what you are climbing is terrible. I always drop into 3rd person view because of it. If a mod exist to automate that, I'd love to know what it is.

I'm not certain but you could look into Improved cam's settings? There's plenty of options to toggle for different animations, and whether it forces third person or not. Some might affect EVGAT's animations.

But, I have one question about cinematic kills. what version are you using and what skyrim version that you are running? because I can see in this video that it works on draugr (other than human) but for me it only works on human enemy. I use skyrim SE 1.6.640

Ahhh this is awesome. Its so hard to find good 1st person mods. I can't stand 3rd person, even a game I objectively love like Skyrim I cannot play for more than 10 mins without getting bored in 3rd person. I play games like this to get lost in the world and 3rd person completely takes me out of it.

You can use se mods on ae but some mods have a ae verison or a patch for the ae version of that specific mod

Hey Softgaming - love your channel. I've been trying to mod my skyrim and encountered the issue where MO2 starts skyrim in vanilla form, shutting off all plugins. I found a fix for that by going into the TOML files and changing the EnableAchievementsWithMods from True to False. Seems to be the fix for most people. But now my game wont start at all. Idk why. Any advice?

Can't say i have an answer but i think i encountered the same issue as well. I was evidently modding in the least sensible way possible. Eventually i got to the point of trying to play the game and well, all my plugins would turn off on launch. Asked some friends and googled a bunch to no avail so i gave up with that.

There are mods that are great, some that are good.. and then some that just take things way too far. I'm not a big fan of the overhead markers.. it kind of just throws away the whole Skyrim vibe.. to be it's like a Facebook status update.. it's just completely unnecessary.. this is not elder scrolls online. 😂

This is quite ironic considering ESO uses the same below-compass enemy health bar. The mod is still worth using for a variety of reasons, and you can rest assured that you can in fact disable the overhead display if you wish. Or limited to select actors like your team mates so you know how they're doing.

There are lots of mods for that. In fact most people end up making their game like that and first person is lagging behind in mod support.

That's like. Most combat mods. There is ENTIRE modlists dedicated to replicating fromsoft games. Be it elden ring, dark souls, hell even Sekiro. This includes graphics, sounds, music, gameplay mechanics, items, quests, etc.
