I freakin love sleeper trucks. I had a 2001 single cab short bed with 5.3 with different cam, heads, headers and a turbo. It would walk Mustang Gt's, Camaro z28, SS, trans am's pretty much anything except a couple of cobra's which were modded obviously...I have to give credit to the 5.3 because it held up to alot of abuse. Transmission not so much.😜 Since then I've only owned trucks with 5.3 and they still are tough imo. Thanks for sharing and bringing back old memories!👍🙏🇺🇸✌

Start with a 6.2L on your next build. They will take down pony cars stock. V6 Mustangs and Camaros.

Clorox God Ya I have one, but its on big heavy 33” tires and its not tuned. You shouldnt remove the speed limiter without getting a custom driveshaft built. The speed limiter is based off the driveshaft rpm. Without the limiter you can easily over spin it and have it come apart.

Its not a sleeper if its loud as hell, I think I saw a cutout which definitely would make it a sleeper. Most guys say a sleeper but its defining well then its not a sleeper because everyone can hear its not at least with cutouts you can hide it till the last minute

Kyle Regts This truck does have the cutout as you saw. When he activated it, it goes through the factory exhaust system and then It sounds exactly like a stock truck. 😈

Truck moves quick but after 30 mph before that it sounds heavy and ive been wondering if someone has a found a solution i have seen and heard that all 4.8 silverados from that body style 2007-2013 all do not do a burnout stopped because mine doesnt and once you go over 30 the truck gets instant power and it is tuned so it should be burning the tires. Now if i wasnt sure abt it i wouldnt be saying it but im sure its only 4.8 trucks because 5.3 burn them tires like nothing.
