Are you guys gonna "tune" the stock engines? It actually does help a few ponies on these Rangers. Heads up the plastic thermostat housings love to crack after long periods of heavy use and sometimes explode. AusTekk makes metal thermostat housings. Do the ZIP TIE MOD or add some "cable stops" to the throttle cable, you'll gain the ability to go true WOT again. Add an extra half quart of oil to the 4.0L SOHCs for the timing chains and a little extra Mercon 5 for the auto transmissions. Unplug the AC so the freaking pulley doesn't try to keep engaging. Drill some holes in the bottom of the airbox and add a bunch of ice under the filter in a bag so it can drain out as it melts and keep the IATs down. I wouldn't be surprised to see some 3.0L head / head gasket failures or just overheating in general. I'm about to get some tickets to this thang, gonna be a helluvan event!!

Every employee has the right to go where they feel the most comfortable. If some other place gives that over Cleetus, I am 100% sure, Cleetus would be happy for George and not mad at him like Jeremy seemed to be. It is a two way street in business, they have to respect you as much as they want you to respect them. I am not upset with Jeremy other than he seemed to want more than what he was willing to give. That imbalance tends to make employees want to go somewhere else, and George did after Jeremy fired him.

But I'm a liiiittle bit sympathetic to Jeremy here. This isn't really your normal "job" you know? This is KZbin. I haven't a doubt in my mind that Jeremy, with the same amount of money coming in that cleet has, would love to do it up like cleeter does and have all kinds of fun. It's just not the way his channel is kinda, to be crazy and stuff.. And Jeremy doesn't have the cash to buy a track where he can put on races and all kinds of fun stuff for his videos.. Maybe he'd have gotten to that point though who knows? To me it's like if George had stuck it out during the not as good times, then Jeremy and company could get there too, but he decided to skip ahead to a more established channel... Abandoning who was supposed to be his friends, and their channel who has employed him for a while now.. Who knows if cleet would have even hired George if he hadn't been on Jeremy's channel and cleet wasn't able to see how good he was in front of the camera? At the end of the day I don't know. I have no idea what goes on or what any of them are thinking, but it just seems like I can understand a little bit why Jeremy felt betrayed. I can also completely understand why George wanted to switch. Doesn't mean I think anyone should have done anything different.. Just that I understand. Be careful over revving that 3.0. They're good little motors but they will bounce the rockers off the pushrod, especially on the passenger side for some reason. Luckily you can pop the valve cover and slap them back on, but if they bounce on the drivers side you have to pull the intake. Can't wait for this race, if the 4 liters don't all throw their timing belts or wreck it'll be a 4 liter that wins, but I bet more 3 liters finish

The prize Ranger is a 2000 I believe same with the black truck. Cleetus was down 10hp and 35tq compared to the red truck. Those 2001-2011 with the SOHC should destroy the competition though

@@catfish3489 yea the newer 4l are around 240hp vs 150hp of the 3l. Dont recall what the old 4l make but pretty sure anything post 2000 is a newer 4l which was also in the mustang v6 and they have some pickup. So people with the new 4l have a huge increase in power. However they all look single cab flareside (fiberglass) which I believe is 800lbs lighter and are extremely easy to spin out since they have no weight in the back. I forsee tons of spin outs if people rub on back of rangers and will be fairly dangerous.

@@catfish3489 you're high. I've owned several of both, the 3.0 is nowhere near as fast as a 4.0, in any configuration. It's a better motor if you're going to own a ranger, but it barely makes more power than the 4 banger. I see a bunch of broken stick shift transmissions no matter what motors show up. My money is on an overhead valve 4.0 with an auto.
