What an honor to see Jimmy Shiu in your show. I wonder whether Jimmy's dad owned the "modern Chinese" restaurant in Havelock Town. If he is ,we knew him as he grew some of the best orchid flower gardens in Sri Lanka,if not the world.

If you visit Sri Lanka again, I recommend visiting the historic sites of Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, and also climbing Adam's Peak (I don't know if you visited those sites during this trip). So much to explore in an island one third the size of Kansas (I use Kansas as a unit of measure to as I went to college there haha).

Lovely video!! Our girl did an excellent job !! Bravo 👏!! Should have tried the batter fried shrimps and calamari from the jetwing blue in Negombo !!! It’s 😘 good ! Pls Douglas , come again !! Sri Lanka is a very humbling and serve great hospitality to outsiders. They always make everyone feel welcome and homely. Ps- Negombo has a huge group of Catholics because of the Dutch. It used to be a very popular port . Just like in mannar . That’s why the names , the religion, the food and homes(bungalows) are so influenced of the Dutch culture. But from the 90’s a lot start to travel to Italy . A lot was able to adapt to the Italian culture for all those reasons. With increased popularity and again building up houses in luxury Italian style Negombo started to be called “Little Rome” .
