In this vlog, I'm staying at Sri Lanka's most luxurious colonial hotel: The Grand Hotel in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. The Grand Hotel is almost 200 years old, and it was originally built as the private residence of the 5th governor of Ceylon (British Sri Lanka), Sir Edward Barnes. Over 100 years ago, it was converted from a private residence into a luxury hotel. Today, I'll be showing you everything The Grand Hotel has to offer, including its incredible restaurants, high tea, mindfulness studio & spa, and beautiful gardens.

As a Brit living in Devon the home of cream tea it's amusing watching you eat scones. You cut the scone in half then put cream first then jam. Depending on whether you are from Devon or Cornwall will dictate whether you put jam then cream or cream then jam. It is clotted cream although the cream in the video looked more like whipped than clotted but it is Sri Lanka. I think you did a very good job in your video. I'd love the Sri Lankan curry. Loved your video on Baghdad. I love iraq. Very special people. Please show more on Iraq the people deserve our attention.

Great video! But next time, try the scones with the jam and cream together (either jam first and then cream or vice versa - in the UK there are big debates about which way around you should put it on!) and you can easily slice the scone with a knife. Enjoy 😋
