I got this screen protector as well. I installed it on my first attempt. I did notice 3 SUPER small bubbles on the edge of the screen when I was done though. Not even really noticeable as they are the size of a needle point. I guess there were some microscopic dust particles that I hadn't noticed. Super easy installation. I'm glad they included the yellow frame which helped a lot.

My friend puts screen protectors on my devices because I don't have the skill to get it "right". Last year, he installed the JSAUX Steam Deck screen protector for me. I have an OLED on the way. Unfortunately, my friend is out of town until Christmas time. I don't want my SD OLED to sit in its box for a month, so I want to try to install the screen protector myself. The yellow guide tool makes installing the protector seem fool proof. Is it really as easy as it looks? My installation doesn't have to be perfect. It simply has to be "good enough" until my friend returns around Christmas. Any feedback would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hello, thanks for the comment. To be honest I am terrible at fitting protectors and the yellow guide really did make it easy. Also the pack came with 2 protectors so you’ll get two shots at it. I think you’ll be surprise how easy it is.

Thanks for the tutorial! I'm glad that you showed the before and after applying the glass. It really made a difference. I'm planning to apply one for my new steam deck oled. The etched glass still reflect too much light for my liking, hence I want to install additional glass on top of it

Hello, thanks for the comment. Glad you found the video useful. I think it is most important to see the before and after picture of the protector. Makes sense to install one to reduce the glare. I have a Nintendo OLED and the glare is so intense when playing outside. The different to the Deck with an anti-glare protector is huge. Let us know how you get on.

Planning on ordering one for the new OLED Steam Deck, I'm not sure if I should go for the standard glass protector instead of the anti-glare one, why would I go for an OLED screen and then mute the colours with the protector...or do you reckon the impact on the OLED won't be that noticeable?

Hello, thanks for the comment. It’s tough to predict the impact on the OLED. It’s interesting that I couldn’t find an Anti-glare screen protector for the Switch OLED. Although looking at the Steam Deck OLED I would be tempted to pay the bit extra from the Anti-glare screen and higher internal memory model. Did you decide to buy one in the end? Which did you go for?

@@TheIchibanProductions yes, I ordered the 512 GB OLED model because I figured that I don't want the matt screen on the 1 TB model since I've heard quiet a lot of people say that the quality of the screen suffers a bit from the anti-glare treatment, so I also ordered a standard tempered glass screen protector instead of an anti-glare one to go along with my OLED model. I think I will be fine with my decision since I most likely won't play under direct light anyways, so I would prefer my colors to pop more and when it comes to the lower storage capacity I will just buy a 1 TB micro SD card and insert it into the SD card slot to boost the storage capacity of my 512 GB model when I need more memory space.

Would it be the exact same thing if I have a 512GB with the already installed anti glare screen compared to a 64/256GB steam deck with the JSAUX anti glare screen protector? If so, I’d be saving a lot of money if I just go with the cheaper versions

Hello, thanks for the comment. It should be very very similar. I would say it is much better value for money to buy the 64gb model, install this anti-glare protector and upgrade the internal storage. I have done a video showing how to do that too. It really easy to be honest, and that’s coming from someone who isn’t used to taking tech apart.

Hello, thanks for the comment. You are correct. The 2 screens are identical in dimensions so the protectors will fit. However the OLED has smaller bezels so it appears bigger to the eye.

Hello, thanks for the comment. I can’t comment for sure as I haven’t used this on a 512gb but I think the impact is rather subjective. On the 64gb I didn’t notice a drop in either. But some people say they notice a slight drop. I think the protector is well worth it and is easy to remove if you don’t get on with it.

That’s exactly the approach I took. I scratch would annoy me more than a slight drop in brightness. But the anti glare for me made a huge difference. Let me know how you get on.

Unfortunately I don't like it. Glare reduction is nice but I find reduction in clarity to be too noticeable. It feels like dropping the resolution to something around 480p. I'll leave it for now but probably gonna pick regular glass. I don't notice much difference with colour though (OLED 512, so without anti glare screen)

Hello, thanks for the comment. Possibly my favourite comment I’ve had! Indeed I am from the Midlands. I sometimes forget how noticeable my accent is. I personally didn’t think the protector impacted the clarity in anyway. It does mute the colours ever so slightly (barely noticeable) however it is totally worth it for the anti-glare. Going back to my Switch without the anti-glare really shows how good the protector is. I would definitely recommend the Steam Deck. Steam have put it on sale a couple of times so worth keeping an eye out.

Hello, thanks for the comment. It depends why it failed. If you place it incorrectly, you can remove and attempt again. But if you get dust caught on the underside of the protector it can be difficult to remove. That’s what happened to me on my first attempt so had to trash it. But the pack comes with two protectors so it is like they assume you’ll need two attempts.

Hello, thanks for the comment. In my opinion I think there is a tiny bit of colour loss and I think it is because of the Anti-Glare. They say that is true of the 512gb model that has the effect built in. If you want a protector with no colour loss I would recommend the HD Clarity version.

I can totally appreciate what you are saying and makes sense. I also think that if you notice a difference it can become obvious and annoying. It a bit like a scratch on a car, you either don’t notice it, notice it and it doesn’t bother you or you notice it and it bothers you. I would say if you are still looking for a screen protector the HD Clarity version of this once would be better. It isn’t anti glare but is meant to be crystal clear.

@@TheIchibanProductions nope not faulty it’s common knowledge that anti glare screen protectors effect screen quality the whites will look slightly grainy and the overall screen will appear more dim for me it was too noticeable and I had to remove it

@@Androbench I can confirm that brighter spots look a bit grainy/glittery. It's not very noticeable but it does bother me a tiny bit. But not enough to remove it. I'm sure I'll get used to it.
