i was having a huge headache over this but if u guys cannot get spatial audio or 7.1 audio using these output cables, use Vaoicemeeter VAIO, AUX and VAIO3 instead, those worked for me the same and i have spatial audio again.

No worries Droolies, glad i could help. It's because we are routing the audio on chrome so OBS just act's as though it is an input... i think... it was a long time ago since i did this vid. I have a bit of a different set up now!

Just to point out: If you have mismatched Rates in your Recording devices, you'll get the Robotic cracky sound. You simply need to match all your rates to the same (If your mic only supports up to 41000 don't go over that rate).

alternatively you can set sounds to the AUX Cables right in Banana. No need for virtual cables if you do not want to use them after all.

That’s true! I do like to have a bit more control over my sound though. As I use my aux channels for monitoring alert sounds! That really helps for when I do a horror stream and want to change the volume of alerts 😀 Thanks for that comment though bro!

So in OBS did you add the mic source directly to the mic or something out of VMP? Setting discord input to cable-b doesn't seem to work? I have to set it directly to my microphone.

You set it as the source directly. You want to set the discord output to cable-b! Leave the input as microphone!

Hi somehow when I put the input device for Discord Output Device it doesn’t work unless it’s set to Microphone. Am I doing it right? Input only works when I set is as microphone.

So I set Chrome to the only audio cable I had, and the audio cable still picks up Spotify in OBS, when I set chrome as the only application to the audio cable. And if I switch the Spotify output to my headphones, it doesn’t play the song.

I think you must have multiple things going through that cable then as if you have set the output and input to the same cable, that it the only thing that should be passed through it.

It bypasses straight into OBS! This means anyone that you’re talking to in discord can have different mic levels etc :)

Yes following this tutorial splits the audio to OBS and VM. This means you can send different mic levels to your discord calls and OBS.

That to me looks as if you have an audio routing issue, make sure every single button and output are exactly the same as the video 🙂👊🏼

Man something is wrong with youtube algorithm why in the hell this video didn't show up to me when I was searching about Voicemeeter even if I'm already a subscriber to your channel ?? You may need to restart your computer after you have installed them!

As soon as I opened voicemeeter potato, youtube immediately stopped working saying I needed to restart my pc. I restarted it again but it still wouldn't let me watch your video anymore... So I tried watching it on mobile and found that for some reason the virtual cable was not showing up as an option in the hardware inputs on voicemeeter. Also my headphones stopped working at all whenever I opened up voicemeeter. I tried uninstalling it all and doing every step over again but nothing changed. Any ideas as to what I did wrong???

That might mean you haven't set up the audio routing properly via the audio cables. Your browser doesn't know where to send the audio. So check in your windows sound settings. Failing that you can always try and ask for support on their website in their forums!

I fix my delay by just adding a small delay to my microphone inside of OBS in the advanced audio properties!

OUT OF ALLLLL the streamers posting VM blah blah blah... promising and having me lose DAYS on trying to figure out 'WHY ISN'T THIS F@#$@#$@@@ @$@$@#$@ AND I DON'T SEE THAT @#$@#$@warwe$q#q!!!! :) I digress lol I find you! and followed exactly what you showed and even though I stream using Xsplit figured just go with it. FINALLY got levels popping up and showing for my browser (firefox) although not sure why it shows 3! channels in VM and why skype is there too?? still thank you ;) now to fire up my xbox and keep fingers crossed this all will be awesome and magnificent! :D

Heyyy man!!! IM SO GLAD I COULD HELP! I was having the exact same issue setting it up! None of the videos made sense! Nothing would work! This is where my tutorials come in. Average videos, for average people!! None of the bulls***! Just the raw info! Is everything working fine now? I know it can be a headache but once it’s set up, you never need to worry again! @@Andilippi lol sadly I spoke to soon XD still VERY grateful and still very happy I was able to find your video.... not sure why 'the other ones' come up first. it wasn't easy finding yours btw not sure why. SO here's what I ended up with last night... GOT music to my headset...AWESOME ;) and viewers could hear me... BUT that was it NO game sound for neither myself or viewers sigh started hitting A1s B1s etc. viewers got music blaring and nothing else. I could control volume to myself but that was it. in the end ended up shutting down VM sigh let me ask you this... is hardware better?? cause right now.... this is what I'm looking at

Oh no! That’s not good! Well I think VM is the right thing to do to save money. It’s just the headache of setting it up. What you need to do is get all your inputs set up in VM, forget about XSplit for now. Once you can hear all the channels separately that’s complete. Then open up xSplit, add different audio inputs for all the audio you want the stream to hear. Then put the same audio sources. This means XSplit will be set up the same as VM. This means you can control VM to change what you hear! And XSplit will control what the stream hears! Does that make sense?

@@Andilippi ugh soooo stressful, makes sense how this is the ONLY program out there and it's such a ms os from the early 90's lol I read on their forum someone adding a MixAmp TR to include party chat so run everything BEFORE connecting and streaming... I had done that in the beginning and ran into problems once I started streaming lol I'm joining your discord and maybe we can talk... if you have time but will take a DEEP breath clear my head and read over what you wrote and go through it again... if this is my version of what hell will be like... I promise I will be good lmao
