I just made a purchase from Moutain Crest Gardens. I also purchased bonsai jack. My question is do I use the soil that comes with my cactus or switch it to bonsai jack? Do you still use dressing over bonsai jack on all succulent plants?

I'd replant with Bonsai Jack; cactus love the extra grit! And personally I never cover it with top dressing, as it's got a pretty clean look. But totally a matter of personal preference!

What is the difference between sample tray and a regular tray

Good question! The trays we call "samplers" are assortments of all different varieties, whereas we also sell trays with things like 5 each of 5 varieties (25 plants total). When in doubt, scroll down to the description and it will lay out exactly how many plants of how many varieties are in each tray.
