Oddly, at 7:37, Steve should have played his 9 high. The dealer only had 19 outs. 11 cards to pair the board, 4 tens and 4 jacks. Always count the outs before you fold!

Just one thing I've noticed, when counting the outs, don't forget information you know. The last hand was only 21 outs since you know Danielle has 2 of them. Still a borderline play but still, given how hot you were this session, it might have been a play! El Cortez seems to have turned a corner for you two!

I know it’s probably been asked before but what is the counting the Danielle does? I can’t get my head round it.

The community cards have 3 others in the deck that the dealer can match. If nothing on the board pairs and you don’t match them either then there are 15 outs plus any cards higher than your highest card. We play 19 outs or less. It’s conservative. If you have a Jack and the board has a queen and King plus 3 lower cards that don’t match then you would have 15 outs on the board and 4 Aces. So it’s 19. I hope this helps.
