Tatra 815 saved my bacon. It is slow but it relly gets the job done. Especially early on where I can't even go through the mud half the time.

Best bet, especially early on. Go around the mud. Don't always have to stick to the road

GMC brigadier is 1 of few that can equip log crane and haul long logs. so its not perfecly useless, if you want to roleplay

I think the CAT CT681 is better in all regards compared to the 680. There are better trucks for sure, but that drop axel doesn't get in the way like people say, and It provides amazing assistance with medium logs when things are top heavy and you need to corner often. More surface area means less tip overs. And when you don't need it, lift it. I have only had it get in the way a couple times. and even then it gets to moving again.

Caterpillar CT681 and International HX520 are better than the starters but buying Azov 64131 will help a lot more. And wich are the best american trucks from DLC regions?😮

just to point out that you said that the 4th and 5th axles on the western star 47x nf 1430 are useless because they are not touching the ground but you can lower them with the active suspention option even if the dont drive it is handy sometimes. very helpful video

Just to point out but what I said was: "You get 5 axles on this truck and two of them are lift axles which isn't ideal really. No diff lock and all-wheel drive is on a toggle and now I know what you're thinking... useless right? Well actually not. OHD2 tyres and all wheel drive are a kind of magic combination that just works." I didn't specifically say the lift axles were useless. I said two lift axles isn't ideal

Just FYI I don't know exactly what you mean when you say you don't have access to the Navistar 5000 as I just bought the game recently and the Navistar is part of the DLC content you can get separately from the Season Passes.

Might be a Steam thing. I bought this game for PS4 on pre-order and fell in love with the Navistar. I wanted to get it for PC but was disappointed that it was a pre-order thing. I got lucky and found a season 1 pre-order bundle for steam on a discount sight and bought it without a second thought.

I don't have the game for the Switch. Is there an enable/disable option for content either in the Switch options for Snowrunner or in the game itself? Otherwise the trucks should just be in your garage

@@alexh3974 but what's the point of unlocking other trucks when you have that one. it's like cheating. In general, the degree of difficulty and the performance between trucks is now very unbalanced, on the difficult maps 80% of the trucks are simply useless.

There are only 2 "difficult" regions at a push. People can play with whatever trucks they want too: vanilla, DLC or modded. Some people don't have the time to sit for 20mins crawling through snow and want to do it faster so they use a more capable or overpowered truck. Nothing wrong with that at all

@@somerandomperrson Try out the 57x with the highrange gearbox in Alaska. You plow through everything in high gear including the mud/snow. As long as the tires aren't covered entirely it will demolish anything in your path

yes the balancing is not good. it plays as if the whole game were designed for the weak trucks and the easy maps. then came heavier maps, and new trucks that drive better in the mud with front wheels and street tires than the 8x8 russians with mud tires...
