It's a nice fit on that does. Doesn't really block your buttons. Seems an excellent choice! On a Puma I think it will block the hazards etc.

With this Sony screen on this unit, you can move it up, and down and tilt it in or out fully adjustable...it works Great on the Defender and Doesn't interfere with any other switches on the Defender Td5... you can get a double DIN Sony unit the same which may be better in a Defender Puma, but this would work as well... I want to change out my old defender stereo. I thought a floating sterio would bw nice, but it s abit in the way of the other knobs. So I guess Ill just get a regular sterio.

Hi, you can always get something smaller like a 5" Floating Touch Screen stereo single Din which would probably work in your Defender... Sony stereo in My Defender is about 9" quite big... but it fits fine with the Switches etc... I hope you find something that you can fit in your Defender... Thanks for your message👍

I fitted an ATOTO Android unit (same form factor) in my 300TDi. I made my own USB adaptor using a Carling blanking plate and cutting a hole to fit the USB cable end. I did have to go for a new shark fin antenna as the DAB reception was poor with the glue on antenna it came with.

I have a dab unit Separate from my radio. I've stuck Antenna on a side window of the Defender it is what I've used now for this new radio I just installed.... and it works fine I was looking to get a new dab Antenna for the Defender, but there's no need... sometimes just make do...👍

Brilliant video. Beautiful head unit. Had a similar unit, although was an Atoto and has a 10” screen. But found it just too large in my D2, as being at the top of the dash, not that far away from my face! Lol. So now have a relatively cheap Android unit but screen is only slightly larger than the Single DIN, so keeps within the upper dash level/line. Loving your videos 👌🏼

It's just the right size head unit for the Defender, I think any bigger wouldn't look right... Especially in a Defender as there's not much room in the dash, anyway overall I'm very pleased with it there's a few drawbacks that goes for anything you buy, sound quality and picture quality is fantastic as you would expect from Sony! Dash Pod on my Defender Td5 is from a company called Bolts on Bits here in the UK... a few years ago I think you still get them just have a look on eBay I know MUD UK sells something similar... Thanks for watching and for your message...👍hope you find one...!

Hi I have a roof lining with a single din radio aperture in it. Would this stereo fit in it if it was tilted down to its fullest?

Hi there It would be best to measure first... with it being a single Din head unit I think it would be fine you could adjust it a lock it in position but after that, you cannot move it you can't move the screen once you have put it in the position you want... thanks for your message...Rob

Hi there the old stereo that I Removed from the Defender was an Auna 3" Touch Screen with Mp3 USB which I have from eBay about 8 years ago I don't know the Model number, but it is still a good stereo just wanted something new and more updated... and a Sony to...👌 Thanks for your message 👍

The screen on this Sony XAV-AX8150 is very clear and far better than a small screen... which makes it that bit safer as you are not trying to find Buttons... 💯% keep your eyes on the road ahead...😁
