the lock-on was a life saver. never knew what i was doing wrong but i got it like 10% of the time. But even with just trying it for a bit with lock-on it felt so much more consistent. + with the timing for when the right foot goes up helped even more. Great tutorial

I've done just about everything in the game, apart from finding all the shrines (with about 24 left) and killing Ganon. I finally decided to check out all these little glitches and exploits now that I've basically experienced the whole game on my own terms, now I'm addicted to wind bombing. This definitely solidified my understanding of the technique, so thanks for going into such detail! Most guides and tutorials just teach the button sequence and leave it at that.

@@knightpohtaytoe They really are. I wasn't kidding about that addiction, by the way. I saw a chest across a gap in a shrine, so you know what I did? I jumped off a nearby ramp and wind-bombed into the wall to get to it. I didn't even realize it was metal and all I had to do was use magnesis 💀

A little tip for the horizontal wind bomb: pay attention to the square when the ring around it stops then you can detonate the circle and you can then tell how much faster or slower to do it from then

The lock on and right foot tips are such a big game changer. I kept blowing myself up and had such a low success rate but couldn't figure out where my timing was off. Those two tips alone boosted my rate from 10-20%ish to above 90% in an instant. it needs a bit getting used to holding the pad a bit different than what I was "training" for some time now that causes me to mess up the initial jump more often but damn, thanks man.

Hey knight with gliding windbomb I usually drop the bomb and then move forward it allows me to make sure I’m not too far away from the first bomb

That only works if you're still slightly moving forward, if you stop completely like I do then the bomb will drop in front of you if you drop bomb first

I would also suggest -- to even veteran windbombers -- to practice the different types of windbombs periodically, as I used to be able to do windbombs with, almost, 98% accuracy but recently I noticed that some of my windbombs need a lot of work. Thank you! I’ve never even heard of those master cycle and shield spin ones. Finally a reason to learn the shield spin cancel, I guess 😅. But I’d love if you could go through the turn windbomb. Not sure if that’s what it’s called, but it’s the one where you pull your bow out at some point. Maybe you were saying it’s not necessary because the cardinal direction doesn’t matter with the ledge if the timing is right (and in the air, you can just turn before you start)…? This was so relatively clear, though, that I’m hoping that you also can do tutorials on some other tech, specifically in the shield clipping family, and even more specifically, the two where you get temporary skew from the wall. The only tutorial I’ve found so far is just so fast for those and without a voice-over, which makes it even harder for me. Thanks, again, for this tutorial!

oh so what Im guessing u mean is the ones u do in speedrunning where u turn link and all it really does is give extra horizontal speed and basically no height and knight you basically just point you bow at any angle before exploding circle but yea its super useful

@@knightpohtaytoe The shield clip one is in Jhent’s comprehensive guide (kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2ethaGfqq-Djqc), 11:25 (shield pull clipping and the instant version). Actually, even extended is beyond me and timing is tough to pick up from a description. He has another tech video that was phenomenal, including timing, but not for clipping. The wind bomb is mentioned in R1n’s vid here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zmbam2Ntg6uXjqM at 2:00. But based on what you said, it’s probably not necessary. With ledge hop and BLSS, movement is never a problem anymore.

@@Cricketycrkt Yes, exactly. But yeah, based on this vid, I don’t need it. It’s the shield clipping that saves my life (and sanity). Both ToTS and that horrible stasis golf shrine with the giant ancient core. More shield clipping tutorials are always appreciated!!!!

@@nikifallen93 Honestly Extended Shield Clipping is beyond me too, I've only ever done it successfully once and it took about an hour lol, as far as the pull clips (which I've actually never heard of before 😅), Jhent's guide seems pretty accurate and thorough, I think the only thing I could add to it is voice-over. Sadly all I can really offer you is potentially more consistent normal shield clips, most of my glitch tutorials are yt shorts and I have one on shield clipping with a tip that most people don't mention: kzbin.info8lOTGYRzAkA?feature=share

Use the scope and then hold down L to lock on, then you can exit the scope while continuing to hold down L

For some reason I’m finding the gliding wind bomb WAY easier than the regular wind bomb. I think if ur high enough to bullet time, then either is pretty interchangeable overall. Anyway, great guide, thanks
