Hey I’m Madeline I play softball I’m a good hitter and a good catcher and a decent outfielder and I’m good at in field sometimes, but I’m afraid of getting hit becaus I got hit in the eye with a grounder and I got a concussion from that. So I’m still a little scared. This helped a lot.

As a Dad trying to teach his 7year old, I will try and memorize everything that you said here, but do you offer like a service where you can put this information in written form also, which could be downloaded? I don't know where or when infielders began slapping down on ground balls with their throwing hand ! I was taught to field and RECIEVE grounders with the basic " V" principle, with my throwing hand open palmed , rather than risk spraining/jamming a finger on a bad hop ! Please respond or enlighten me why they use this way of fielding!
