I’m glad to hear it was helpful! What are you struggling with most? I’ll try to make a video covering it!

Ultimate Baseball Training I am 13 and I play Babe Ruth. I am struggling with being efficient with ground balls and knowing if I should try to get it on the high hop or the low hop. I also have trouble getting to liners on time. I do feel like I have a lot of room to improve on all aspects of the infield so any videos on improving in the infield, possibly even more directed to 2nd base would be great. Thank you for making these videos, many of them have helped me a lot.

Thanks for all of these awesome videos. Over the past year, they’ve brought me from one of the worst players on my team to one of the best! Really appreciate the help!

Great job! Nothing makes a coach happier than to see a player work hard and make substantial improvements!!! (Except perhaps winning the league championship😉). Keep up the good work and of course learning from all the coaches and videos!

Nickvec Our team was runner up last year as one of the lowest seeds... So close yet so far
@Nickvec4 жыл бұрын
Matt, so close!!! When I was coaching, our team was in third place during the season. We lost the first game in the playoffs, but it was double elimination. Turned out we had to win 7 games in a row and beat the lead team twice. We came away with the trophy. The highlight of the playoffs was one of our kids, who had never touched a baseball til that season, caught a big fly to the outfield to end the game with their winning run on third! It's ten years later and it always comes up. I could not have been prouder!!! Keep playing and best of luck this season!!!

Hey. Thanks for all the help over the years. I've been watching a lot of your hitting videos, yet, I still can't hit those 55 mph+ pitches. I'm in high school ball, but the coaching is not so good, and I am still kind of new at it. My main problem is I'm too slow, even when I try to time it correctly. My full-body motion after my stride foot hits the ground is too slow. Appreciate any help!

Do you use a high leg kick?
@johndolan70504 жыл бұрын
Try timing it when your in the on deck circle. If you’re too late all the time hold your bat closer to the pitcher.

As a new coach myself, how would you communicate to your players when the correct time is to use the forehand or backhand ( referring to final tip)? I work with 9 year olds and they need it pretty black and white. Thank you for your videos

Hey I have a problem when I’m hitting. I’ve been, like, nervous at the dish, but at the same time I’m confident that I can hit the ball against the pitchers I face. And it’s not because I’m worried that I’ll get hit, but something makes me hesitant when I’m hitting. And I don’t seem to be coming out of this funk. Any help/tips you can give me would be great for me. Thanks in advance

My couch is stouborn and won’t even let me play infield cause he never did a player evaluation after the tryouts
@Nickvec4 жыл бұрын
All you can do is keep asking. Maybe approach him in a late inning in which your team has a good lead and maybe he'll give you a shot. Or hit up one of the assistant coaches to lobby on your behalf. Also, be sure to do your best during drills and practice on off days with friends. Remember, a great outfielder is still an important part of the team. As an outfielder, you should be moving on plays where the ball is not coming to you: backing up bases and positioning as cut man. When I coached fall ball, it was considered a skills building time and every player was rotated through every position (except catcher). Good luck and do your absolute best!!!

how can i pick the ball better, i’m a first baseman and i suck at picking and i’m losing playing time because of it
@upi13044 жыл бұрын
1. keep your eye on the ball. dont look away because you will move your body which oeads to your glove 2.like the video said take the high hop or low hop 3.dont be scared of the ball. being scared will cause to you moving your head 4.left foot foward if its foward hand and right foot foward if its back hand (other wat around if your a lefty) 5.its easier to foward hand pick so try to move your feet a little bit 6.keep practing. practice will always help

don't try to make a perfect throw every time that'll tighten up your body, stay loose when throwing it and let your body flow freely

I side arm the baseball when i throw can you give me som tip on how to throw straighter
@barbecuesquirrel23244 жыл бұрын
Try to feel the ball come by your neck or shoulder before you throw It will help you throw more over the top or 3/4. If you want to keep throwing sidearm then just try to keep your body and arm directed towards your target like if your threw over the top. Don’t change anything but your arm angle when throwing sidearm
