The way Jay and others romanticize John Dorsey is pretty ridiculous. Yes, he's drafted better than Berry simply by picking Denzel Ward and Nick Chubb but essentially none of his other picks really amounted to much. Remember Austin Corbett? Antonio Callaway? Greedy Williams? You know how Berry got a ton of flack for drafting Cade York? Well, Dorsey drafted Austin Seibert. Dorsey also traded away that precious 2019 first round pick for Odell, a move that would end up being a bust. To Berry's credit, I'd say he's drafted defensive players better than Dorsey, outside of Denzel. JOK, Mike Hall, Isaiah McGuire, Grant Delpit, Greg Newsome, they're all at least decent. Berry's weakness is offense. Obviously Jed is a bust. Jerome Ford is fine. Schwartz and Bell were big third round busts but Cedric Tillman showed a lot of promise. Again, I'd give Dorsey the edge but I don't think its a massive difference like Jay seems to think.

These guys are missing the point. It isn’t Berry - it is what the coach does with the talent. We have gone to the play off Steve so there has to be talent. What is left after that? QB is the big Gail.

If the Browns are good next year, and the Browns still have Myles Garrett, who on this show is going to say that they know nothing about football? Because if I remember correctly, you guys were clamoring for the Browns to cut JOK prior to last year.

This team could easily turn around next season but they think cutting emerson and all these guys is the answer, we have had the worst QB play in the whole league, our defense were able to stop the chiefs and eagles, like we gotta relax, this new year

I feel Bitonio and Garret will be back next year (unless Bit decides in a month or 2 he’s retiring) and that’s the ultimatum, if it looks like this circus again they’re 200% gone after the 2025 season. Also not every GM is gonna hit on and keep every pick, but if they’re not what they’re expected, they let them go instead of Berry being a hoarder and keeping each one as long as possible. JOK is gonna be his only hit, Delpit is ok and they only kept Newsome since he’s still on his rookie contract.

Listen to these guys and the Browns will continue to struggle. The Steelers have the same conversations last year, but they chose to support their coach in front office and look at them this year. For the Browns --Stay the course, get rid of Dorsey, and make smart moves in the draft next year.

AB is not good at drafting at all. JOK and Delpit you can say are hits, but they were also first round talents that fell to the second. He ignored position groups for years, due to analytics and then had to overpay to fill those voids. The analytics approach of trade down for more picks that they have been doing since 2016 has got them nothing but 1 playoff win. Its almost been a decade. Idk why he's even here outside of money. He's probably fired next year, so what's the point of holding on to him. Why should they get a 2 year rebuild window? That had no plan to get out of the DW contract if he sucked and no plan behind him if he sucked or got hurt. Ownership decision or not its bad. This fool drafted a kicker in the 4th and DTR in the 5th chasing a Purdy type diamond in the rough. Outside of being aggressive and making an occassional big trade he's not a good GM. He overpays FA's all the time (maybe he has to its Clev) but the evals on those guys are bad because they come here and stink. Conklin has been the only FA signing I can think of that has done well for them in 5 years. Wild.

I think Joel Bitonio will play one more year depending on who the Browns sign as a veteran quarterback to start next season. If the Browns sign someone like Zack Wilson or Daniel Jones he may choose to retire, however if they sign someone like Kirk Cousins or perhaps Aaron Rodgers, then he will be intrigued and will probably play one final year.
