I love that Tails has functional flight abilities. You could’ve easily just had this skin swap mod in which he plays identically to Classic Sonic and totally gotten away with that. You could’ve even made the argument that in Tails’ first gameplay appearance couldn’t manually use his flight ability. But despite having that easy out, you still went to the trouble of programming in a flight ability. That is really cool.

Also if I recall there's a weird bug right there. if you get hit by those spikes while Invincible you will still get hit and lose your rings. But I don't remember if that same thing happens in the classic 2d games...

@@mart5610 Normally that would insta kill you in the Classic games, since it would classify as a crush death in the Classic games. (No matter if you are invincible or not) But here, you lose rings when crushed by those specifically. Which normally the Invisibility shield would protect you from losing rings at all costs. So yeah, I agree, it’s a weird thing that happens. As I recall losing rings while invincible myself.

Now this makes me want to see a classic knuckles mod and maybe classic Amy and classic metal. This mod feels so official it makes me retroactively upset at the devs for not already putting this in the game when it first came out in 2011. I’m 99% sure this won’t be in sonic X shadow generations either but it really should be. Especially since a lot of the classic characters have been playable in games such as mania, superstars, and origins!

This is amazing. Absolutely stunning. I know it's not possible (yet), but one of these days, we should have a Tails follower/supporter just like from Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 for it to become a full classic peak fiction.

Absolutely beautiful Tails mod. Though I was taken aback that literally themes from Fatal Fury, Megaman, and even Shinobi 3 were being played in his stages. Quite a shock. And the fact that Tail's mechanics, even his swimming can be done with this mod. Well done!
