Hey man, Its been way too long since I left a nice, long, loving, comment on your channel so here goes. You have definitely brought these two guys back from the brink of death and obscurity. The fact that these two guys are in the game recreated by your skill will probably be the first new thing that people will talk about when they bring up these old games. The style switch animations of Spawn are probably my most favorite visual detail about him. You successfully stayed true to the original, but made even better with more visual FX. I love seeing all the white, yellow and green flashes, mixed in with fire, fireballs, and lots of other green stuff lol!😁 While my knowledge of demon transformations is lacking, certain audio cues aren't. I loved hearing the old Doom shotgun blast SFX in the machine gun attack. Brings back memories (and nightmares) of the dreaded Chaingunner from Doom II and Final Doom. One of my other favorite attacks was the chain slams you borrowed from Birdie. Very nice! I hope you consider grabbing some chain rattling SFX to compliment the slamming! This version of Spawn is the perfect blend of old and new, Spawn has all the stuff from the original done better, all the guns from MK11 (and the comics), and all the extra “Mr.Q” ideas to make him you own. You shatter expectations as usual man. 👍👍 Contrasting all the violence and demonic stuff to the charismatic and fun loving Shaq now. The strange links to those Clayfighter and Looney Toon vids makes complete sense now. You were telling us more about the character! You've really turned this guy into a great martial arts master with all the new punch and kick animations. Great voice FX too! It was subtle, but I loved how you mixed in the Battletoad and Double Dragon SFX in to his style switch animations. The “Magic” button was the points pickup sound and the “Lakers” button was the health pickup sound! Spawn's portrait in the character select screen looks really good. I hope you can find (or commission) something new for Shaq as well. I look forward to playing him! 🏀 Now I'm not gonna just skip the ultimate badass boss just cuz' I'm obsessed with the new players. I know you put a shitload of work into the Duke. Especially in the sprites area. There are so many moves and they all do so much damage! A Mega man blast, Shang Tsung ground fireballs, Ice Freeze, Metroid Spin attack, Scorpion Spear, Eye Beam Blast, good lord! There may be a time that I might have to ask you for a list of all these insane attacks. I might make a video just about this guy alone! This fight is definitely going to be the proper high point for the end of this game. Too many beat em' up as well as action games have had pushover final bosses or bosses that feel like your playing a platforming game. Well, not in Mr.Q's games!! The fight reminds me of how fun/hard boss fights used to be. Characters like Vergil from DMC3 and Murai (Ninja Gaiden Xbox) come to mind. Its great to have someone to fight that is your equal, then continues to get harder and harder to a climactic end. The 3 fights remind me of Square Enix's beat em' up version of Sephiroth, Dauragon C. Mikado. I don't know if you remember The Bouncer, but it was one of the first PS2 games I ever played. I was dazzled by the graphics. The final boss fight was very very memorable to me as you had to fight him twice. Each time him being stronger, faster and with a bigger health bar. Then when I beat the game a 3rd time, there was an extra special "final form” of Dauragon. More crazy moves, even longer health bar, and it was all a surprise as I didn't expect this at all! I'm not saying that there is a connection to your game and Dauragon, but design wise, its better than SOR4 and many other game by miles! Everything thing shown here definitely looks like a years work if not more. I know you won't be able to release the game by the end of the year but thats fine. Now is the time to spend time with family. Perhaps maybe Valentine's day? It could be a two year anniversary since the release of Jeff, being that these guys play so much like Jeff!😅 Thanks for the continued update vids here as well as in Discord. The tribute/call to different franchises and old games is astonishing!!! I can identify Duke moves coming from: Magneto, Dracula, Scorpion, Gen-An, DBZ for the snes, Sigma, X (or Zero, not sure), Shang Tsung, Samus/Turrican, Crash Man, Katai, Shadow Boss… and I’m sure I’m missing a few more (and I must say I’m surprised there’s no Dragonninja technique there, like the clone technique). This will be absolutely the BEST Double Dragon game ever!!! From the plot area I really don’t think that portal to alternate universes and such fits with the DD universe, where at most I think some Chinese black magic should be the limit as seen in arcade and nes versions of DD2, but totally respect Mr.Q’s vision about the mythology as this is his game after all. Sprite wise Spawn seems to fit nicely, but I can’t say the same about Shaq sprites, it totally collided with the rest of the art of the game. His moveset looks fun. I don’t mind waiting years for this game to be finished, the wait will be worth!!! Wena wn!!! Totalmente maravilloso!!!!

NIICEEEEEEE , I think that Billy & Jimmy should have Multiple Different Spirit Fireballs 🔥 shooting out of hands like Ryu & Ken in order to beat Duke . No disrespect whatsoever. It’s just the music queues stop the adrenaline of the fight and will eventually become less impactful the more it’s done. In your old demo the music queues weren’t there and sounded much heavier for an ultimate combo. Keep up the amazing work!

Characters were played by Master Daniel Pesina and Carlos Pesina. Daniel and Carlos were also game characters in video game Mortal Kombat 1 and 2. Daniel was the original Johnny Cage, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, Smoke and Noob Saibot. Carlos played as Raiden. Again, can you and development team add Sasori and Lei Gong? Can't wait to play the full game.
