Translation:
And the boy said, how beautiful is the path,
The lad said, the road that lasted,
And the man said, how long the road,
And the old man sat by the path.
The sunset paints his gray hair, in red and gold,
And the grass shines at his feet with dew,
And the last bird of the day, sings to him a Taranto:
"Will you remember how beautiful, how hard, how long the path was?"
