I have two a 30qrt and a 45qrt and recently bought the battery pack. I have used them for them for three years and they are GREAT. I use the 30qrt as a freezer the other for refrigerator. My Jeep has one DC port in the back that is "switched" so I plug the battery pack there and by pass to the small freezer. So battery runs the unit when the Jeep is off. The larger on is on a constant hot DC in the console. These are FANOMINAL for the money. TOTALLY endorse them. Yes, I have the cover for the 45qrt too.

You can plug the battery pack into vehicle and fridge to battery for pass through charging. When battery in vehicle gets to a level that you set in the fridges control panel, the external battery takes over to prevent vehicle being over discharged. Also, the battery pack has a strong magnet so it can be attached to fridge. It was designed for that purpose.

Ecoflow Glacier is $599 with battery on Amozon right now. I have one and love it. Extra battery is $169 on Anazon

Anker everfrost are really nice, have all 3 sizes. Pricey but, with 1 , 100 watt solar panel they run for ever, and have a 299 watt hour battery too

Auto accessory ports (cigarette lighter plugs) suck...all of the them. I don't care how well it's made. The better ones suck slightly less than the worst of them, but they are all a lousy way of connecting anything that uses electricity. I have adapted pretty much all my devices, including 12v fridges, to use either XT30 or Anderson Power Pole connections. That external battery pack is "OK", but what I would do is skip the battery, cut the end off that cable and attach a well designed connector that I can then attach to any LFP battery source.

I found that most of these dc refrigerators are 12 or 24V and if I buy a cheap dewalt battery adapter that has 2 wire output and then cut the cigarette lighter plug off then just wire the adapter to the plug that goes to the cooler I can just use my 18v tool battery to run the fridge, milwaukee or dewalt ryobi craftsman any battery I own already can be plugged in and the quality of the battery is much better and larger in most case's.

I don’t like the idea of internal battery packs. I saw a video of a guys car almost catching on fire because of the lithium battery exploded! It was built into the 12 V refrigerator.
