Tom Cruz Honestly, MvC2 has more diversity with viable characters. I see Magneto, Storm, Sentinel, Psylocke, Iron Man, Cable, and Cyclops being used a lot. Rarely, Captain Commando. In this game it’s only Akuma, Evil Ryu and Violent Ken.

Ruizes5 Simple block and punish, or bait into an anti air or throw. They die in 4 to 5 hits, so you don't need to work hard, or take risks. Just don't play reckless, you'll win everytime.

What people don't know about Ryu's overhead (not Evil Ryu) is you can combo into Crouch MK on Crouching characters into a H Fireball Frame Trap, which is actually a 4 hit combo on Zangief, E. Honda, Sagat, Fei Long, T. Hawk, and as I discovered recently, Dhalsim. Ryu also has a better Super than Evil Ryu. My advice is focus on spacing and use L Tatsu or L DP to Meter build on knockdown, punish whiffed and blocked M and H DPs with Crouching MK into H DP, catch 'em with Super as they fall from jumps or in Fireball wars. If the opponent is stunned however, Crouching LK into Super is the easiest confirm, while if you want maximum damage, Crouching HP into Super. Not sure about Ken over Violent Ken but I know Violent Ken has the lowest health and his Command Dash is only projectile invincible, so you need to focus on your spacing and catch his dashes. With Ken, only use L DP in combos of the 3. Otherwise, your BnB should be (sometimes starting with Jumping HK) Crouching MK if they aren't crouching, QCF Crazy Kick, but if they are, H Fireball, unless you're against Violent Ken, then don't finish the combo and instead, jump back HK on the way down in case they try using Command Dash. The best time to use Super with Ken is as an anti-air or catching random Command Dash. If you can stun your opponent with full Super ready, go straight for Super.

i kinda miss the "broken" stuff you know. Focus to much in balance can hurt the ultimate goal of the game, the fun. I mean i love SF but V was something unprecedent. Was released with a very small cast, just one critical per character, very little V trigger options, a practice mode more worked Than any other in the game and a survival mode that even Infiltration complains about for being to hard. U SV4 for me is the definitive SF experience, sure III MI 2 is often consideer the best But 4... my good was all in the chips in a world series poker match. Dozen of characters, all your classic favorites + cool new comers (El Fuerte, Abel, Hakkan), tons of supers, criticals, cutscenes with great animation. Great gameplay variety, and most important the fact that is a game that is fun and easy to pick up and hard to masterize, giving the player a sense of reward for his dedication. Was fun as fuck. Sad that Capcom is pushing SFV so hard that now that the Capcom pro tour Is a thing no one in the pro league scene will do shit about it since they are a big sponsor and not even EVO could survive without them now.

He doesn't mean broken like not balanced. it's just kinda goofy how fast you can kill in this game but its tough to pull these high level combos off. ultra 2 is definitely a bare bones sf, just precise button imputs and super no fluff like ex and v trigger. every character has powerful attacks and the high tier is like half the cast. even the worse characters compete so its pretty good balancing.

I hate that I blew 40 bucks on this broken ass game instead of Fate. And maybe almost all the old school SFs were broken but at least Sirlin's version was somewhat balanced. Akuma gets his ridiculous air fireball back(yes he had it in HD Remix but it was nerfed so it was at least dealable) and now Zangief is free to Akuma. When you have a character in your fighting game that completely boxes out another character with one move, your fighting game sucks.
