Used on a rigid outdoor surface, it can last a few years.The biggest factor that will cause breakdown of the coating is abrasion and being washed off due to soaps/detergents.

It depends on a lot of factors: is it being used on a rigid surface, or one where there is flex and abrasion? Will you be using it indoors or outdoors?

Once the clear coat is available, it would be more viable to use on a car. But, would recommend applying to a small portion to check for color fastness first.

Yes, you can apply it to a cell phone as it is non-conductive. But, please be aware that because the coating is translucent, and not a clear coat, it may leave a haze over the screen of your phone. Our understanding is that the manufacturer is working on a clear coat, but will not be available until later.

Ultratech (the manufacturer) is still testing the effectiveness on the bottom of the boat. We find a lot of our customers are purchasing this to keep off water stains or growth from the bottom of the boat, but we do not have a lot of feedback yet since the product is so new. We can update you with new information as it becomes available.

So if your a plumber you could spray your hand tools and they would not get mud, sand, water coated all over your them, I like the work boots never getting mud the stick to them. When was this discovered?
