Brilliant video mate I've been doing a bit of the ultra light freshwater lure fishing and you are right those little perch are mad for it, haven't had a Rudd yet but I have had a roach on a micro lure and a 4lb carp on an isome worm. It's good fun and the beauty is the fact you can just pop out when ever you get the opportunity, nice one mate keep them coming and few more videos like this one would be great! 😁🎣👍

*Year ago I bought this 7 foot ultra light rod and reel combo>>>**allabout.wiki/kcdi** Today I decided to break her out and go trout fishing. I nailed 2 king and 1 chum salmon. People complaining about breaking poles need to learn to set their drag on real and not force the fish in. Even though reel us cheap, rod stood up to the test. I am going to get another one for my GF, so we both can have fun bring in big fish with this rod*

Haha, I've got an ultra light set with a 500 feel, too. I like doing same thing when I take my daughter for walks. It's great fun. I remember catching a rudd on a spinner once. They're closely related to roach, but why more predatory.
@zitro375 жыл бұрын
You can catch Rudd and Roach, both on Lures. Its just really rare. Rudd feed at the surface while roaches take their food in lower water levels, so it might have been that you fished the upper water levels and thus caught a rudd.

Weirdly enough, after 4 years of this video being posted, I ordered some very small micro lures after a local session on my local river (18/06/2023) and had pluck after pluck from really small Perch....Hooks on my 3g jighead were too big to hook more than 3.... Needless to say. prior to watching this, I've got some very small lures and jigheads to be delivered..... Great vid.....and such a tiny rod.....

I've got a couple of Garbolino Spin Max lure rods, a 1.8 metre and a smaller 1.5 metre. They are cracking little lure rods for the money for throwing little micro baits. Just out of interest, what's the little reel you have on? Looks like a 500 size
@walski555 жыл бұрын
@Peter Edwards, is that the same rod that he's using in the video? Where did you buy yours from? Have had a look online can't find them anywhere..
@peteredwards15285 жыл бұрын

@@walski55 I bought a couple of ice fishing rods off Ebay a couple of years ago, just 2 ft long they are, they obviously don't cast very far, but they are great for dibbling little micro baits in the canal margin during the Summer months, I still use them occasionally. Not sure how I'd get on if I hooked a pike though 😂
@walski555 жыл бұрын
@@peteredwards1528 I was looking at those ice fishing rods a couple of months ago but they are a little short for what I have in mind, where I live in North Wales there's loads of free waters to fish for mainly perch but also miles and miles of overgrown trout streams which nobody ever fishes, that little Garbolino rod will be ideal for fishing them. Thanks again for your help brother, have ordered the Sprint UL-C off ebay so can't wait to explore tham there rivers!
